A RESOLUTIOiQ OF'THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNVVOOD, CALIFORNIA REQUESTING AN APPHOPI3IATION .
FROM THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF LOS ANGELES
COUNTY FOR AID TO DEFRAY EXP�NSES IN CONIQEGTION `
WITH I�JIAKIPdG CERTAIid STREETS IMPROVEi!lENTS IN THE �'
CIT`l OF LYNWOOD.
, Be it resolved by the City Council of the Cit,y of Lynwood,
as follows:
UUFIEREAS, tha City of Lynwood, California, is contemplat-
in�; the improvement of several streets as hereinafter mentioned..
�'hat the City of Lynwood does not have sufficient money to do
said work, and
WHEREAS, there are gasoline tax funds over which the
Honorable Board of Supervisors of Los An�eles County, Galifornia
have control which is availablo for appropriation to the City of
' Lynwood, California, for the purpose of purohasing materials and
labor to pay the costs in connection with the improvement of
Streets witnin the City of Lynwood, in the sum of �p5,017.50, in
addition'to "other funds, which may be alloted by the.•Honorable •-
Board of supervisors of Los Angzles County to said City to sid
in said project.
- NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED that improvement of
Streets and Avenues be made by the City of I�ynwood fromn�nies
received from the County of Los Angeles on the following streets
and avenues, to-wit:
l. The construction of bituminous macadam pavement
on Pine Avenue, between Imperial Highway and Pendleton
Street, at an estimated cost of �600.00.
2. 'Phe construction of bituminous macadam pavement
on Jackson Avenue, between Pendleton Street and Abbott
' v Road, at an estimated cost of �450.00.
3. The construction of bituminous macadam pavement
on Bu11is Road, between Fernwood Avenue and Magnolia Ave-
, nue, at an estimated cost of �2,587.50.
• 4: The construction of bituminous macadam pavement
on Spruce Street, between Pernwood Avenue and Central
School, being the northerly end of said Spruce 5treet,
at an estimated cost of �780.00.
5. The construction of bituminous macadam pavement
on Fracar Avenue, between Imperial Highway and the north
line of Tract No. 11689, at an estimated cost of �600.00.
� `�hat said Streets and Avenue which are to be improved
are of general County interest.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVEA b,y the City Council of the �ity
of Lynwood that the Honorablo Board of Supervisors of the County

'� of Los Angeles, within the State of California, are hereby re-
' quested by the City Council of the City of Lynwood to appropriate
and distribute �5,017.50 of gasoline tax funds, or to appropriate
from any, other fund where money is available, to the City of Lyn-
wood for the purpose of making said Street improvement as may be
provided under Section 1680 of the Streets and I3ighway Code of
the State of California, and under such other provisions of law
'' as authorized such appropriation and distributionfbr said purposes..
BE'IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
o£ Lynwood shall prepare a duly cartified and authenticated copy
of this i�esolution to be mailed to the Honorable Board of $uper-
' visors of the County of Los Angeles, and to the Honorable Road
Commissioner of said County.
