FIHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of
Lynv�ood, dld on the 15th day of June, 1943, file with the City
Clerk as ordered by Resolution No. 1558 of the C:Lty Council of
the City of Lynwood, adopted Pnay 18, 1943, a report relating
to the service necessa_ry to maintain and illumina.te by meane of
electric ener�y the suspended electric street lamps of 25G and
. 600 candle oovJer and the 250 candle po�^+er located on ornar�ental
standards in certain,streets in the City of Lynwood, said
written report presenting the following:
l. Plans and Specifications for the proposed improvement.
2. An estimate oP the cost of said improvement Yor the
period of tine specified in the Resolution of Inten-
tion. �
3. A diagram ahowing the asaessment dlstricU and also
the boundaries and dimensions_of the respective and
sub-divisions of land within said district, each of
said subdivisions being given a aepanate number on
sald dia.gram.
4. A proposed assessment of the to�al amount of the ,
. costs and expenaes of the proposed improvements up-
on the several subdivisions oP land in said dis-
trict in proportion to the estimated benefits to
be received by said sub-c�ivisiona. Said assesa-
ment shall refer to such sub-divlsions upon said
dlagraLn by the respective number thereon, and it
ahall show the names oP the oeuners, if known, other-
v�iee designating them as unknown.
NOtiY, 'I'HEREFORE, BE I'P RESOLVED by the City Council of
the Gity of Lynwood that said report, unmodified, is hereby
approved and adopted as a whole aa the report for a11 aubee-
quent proceedir_gs ha.d hereunder.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in accordance with that
certain act oP the Legislature of the State of CaliPornia
deeignated "An Act to provide for the Msintenance by Munici-
palities of Lighting Systems along Public Streete, alleys
and other public places for the Lig�hting thereoP by electric
current, �as ori other illumineting agent; and for the asseas-
ment of costs and expense Lhereof upon the property benefited
� and the manner of collection, said. asaessments commonly known
as the "Street Lighting Act of 1919",.approved May 16, 1919,
and amendments thereto, the City Council does hereby fix
, Tuesday, the 6th day of July , 1943, at the hour of 8:�0
o'clock P. M. in the Council Chambers of 'seid City Council
in the City Hall, 11331 _P,laza Street, in the Citp of Lyn�ood,
as the time and place for hearin� any and all protests in re-
lation to eaid proposed improvement.
BE TT FUR7'H�k RF.SOLVED, that the City Clerk of the
Ci.ty of Lynwood is hereby directed to give notice of said �
hearing in the time, form and manner required by law, and to
publiah notice of said hearing in the Lynwood Presa, a weekly
newspaper publiched and circulated in said City.
