... The meeting was called to order by Nelson .Mclntire
at 8 p.m. Present.were Nelson Mclntire, Wayne Morey, Charles
Walsh, Herb McKenney, and Andy Boass.
It was voted to send a. letter"to: the "Selectmen regarding
Mr.' Richard Tucker's absenteeism from"the commission meetings.
It was noted by the Secretary that a letter was sent to Dick in
April of 1970 regarding this and there.has been no response.
Herb McKenney asked if the use of DDT in town was much
and if we should-check into it. Nelson:replied that the only use
there could be is for farmers, and there probably was not too much

There is to be a'hearing at the Westboro Selectmen's
office. October 19, 1970, at 8:30 p.m. It will be a Hatch Act
hearing in regards to Xoff^-.'s intentions to/dredge a-.large' part

so Chuck Walsh will attend, and find out what is going on and .
register our objections to the dredging.
.It was discussed and voted that Witt-Armstrong should ..
comply to the Industrial Zoning By-Law of 40' of landscaped
frontage even if it restricts the use of the front doors. It was
also noted that in a recent discussion with the chairman of the
Board of Health it was mentioned that the Department of Public .
Health, did not like the present drainage plans at Witt-Armstrong
and. that Mr. Jollee was to meet with their representative,

showed that cambomba is coming back in some.places at the north
end of the lake. Also,. samples were taken for-another water

Mr. Korner's dredging was.not approved yet due to the
state wanting:to investigate .more..
A letter from Tom Terry was received in regards to
the airport issue, requesting, what amount of money we felt we .
would need to help. We, left this unanswered as we had no needs
at present. • • -''"
Ice House Pond is at a,dead stop due to. a new law that
takes the responsibility of water impoundments -away from.the';
County Commissioner and gave it to the. Division of Waterways,
which now has no funds. A temporary fix will*be made where the
dike is in bad shape and we will- have to wait.
