Be it resolved by tne City Council of the City of Lym��ood,
Californi2., ae fol3ows:
�FiHEREAS, nursuant to an 9ct of th.e Legislature of tne Sta.te
` of California., approved Aoril 24, 1937, and_ known as tne °Labor
Code," the City C6uncil of the C,ity of Lynwood; is required to

ascertain the general prevailin� rate of �er diem wages and the
oeneral prevailin� rate of per d_ier� wages for legal holidays
and overtime rvork, in this locality, ior each craft or type of
�laborer, worklnan or mechanic needed to execute the contract
for furnishing and delivering certain materials and supnlies
in connection with the improvement �oi Louise Street, First Avenue,
Linden Street, Elm Street, Ferrnvood Avenue, Pine Street, Locust
Street, Sanborn Avenue, Shirley Pvenue and certain alleys, in-
cluding all intersections of streets and alleys, by construct-

ing public sewers, in tne County of Los Angeles, State of Cal-
ifornia, in accorda.nce �vith Plans and Soecifications No. 302,
on file in the office of the City Engineer of the said City of
Lynv�ood;

NOPJ, THEREFORr., the City Council of the City of Lymvood
does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby ascertain and determine tnat the general prevailing rate
of per dien wages, in the locality in ��hich said v�orY„ or im-
�rovement, is to be done, for each craft or type o� laborer,
workman or,mechanic needed to execute the contract For furnssn-
ing and delivering certain materials and supplies in connection .-
with the improvement of portions of Louise Street, rirst Avenue,
Linden Street, Elm Street, Fernwood Avenue, Pine Street, Locust
Street, Sanborn Avenue, Shirley Avenue and certain alleys, in-
cluding all intersections oi streets and alleys, by constructing
public sei��ers, in the County of Los Angeles, State of California,
' in accordance �sith Plana and Speciiications No. 302, on file
in the office of the City Engineer of said City, is as follows,

hereby ascertain and determine that the general nrevailing
rate of oer diem wages for ea.ch craft or type of laborer, vaork-
c�an or mechanic employed on legal holidays and for overtime
work on said improvemen� is one and one-nalf timeathe general
_. _prevailing rate of per die� wages for such craft or type of

laborer, workman or mechanic herein specified.
Section 3. The general prevailing rate of per diem wages
provided herein is based unon a working day of eight (8) hours,
and in the event laborers, workmen or mechanics are employed
less than eight'(S)'hours per day, the Aer die� wagea for such
employment shall be fleemed to be that fraction of said rate
' that the number of hours of employment bears to eight (8) hours.
