A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY QF'
LYNVVO011, CALIFORIdIA REQUESTIT:G AN APPRUPRIATION
FROPJf THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF LOS ANGELES
COUNTY TO HELP DEFRAY.EXPENSES IN CONNEQTION
4VITH NIAKIDiG CERTAIN STRE�T IMPROVENIENTS IN THE
CITY OF LYIVV+OOD.
Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Lyn-
wood, as follows;
WfIEREAS� the City of Lynwood� C�lifornis is contemplating
the improvement of several streets as hereinafter mentioned for
which the City does not have money sufficient to do said work; and
WF�REAS, there are gasoline tax funds over which the
Honorable Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County, California
has eontrol, whic� is available for appropriation to the City of
Lynwood, California, for the purpose of purchasing materials to
help defrrzy axpenses in connection with improvement o£ Streets

within the City of I;ynwood, in the sum of �7,598.43, which may be

County to said City to aid in said project.
NOW, THER�FORE, BE IT RESOLVED that improvement of
Streets and Avenues be made by the City of Lynwro od £rom monies
received from the Gounty of Los Angeles on the.following streets
and avenues, to-teit:
l. The construction of bituminous macadam pavesent
on San Miguel Avenue, San Vincente Avenue, Ruth
Avenue and Mallison Avenue between Norton Avenue
and Alma Avenue. .
2. The construction of bituminous macadam pavement
on Beechwood Avenue from east end of Tract No.
2551 to Bullis Road.
3. The construction o£ curbs, gutters and bituminous
macadam pavement on Sanborn tivenue between Long
Beach Boulevard tznd California Avenue.
- 4. The construction of cement concrete gutters and
bitumirious macadam pavement on Weber Avenue from
� Peach 5treet to Santa r'e Avenue.
5. The construction of bituminous macadam pavement
on Spruce Street between Fernwood AVenue and
Beechwood Avenue.

on Stockwell Drive between Imperial Highway and
Century Boulevard.

on Platt Avenue, Walnut Avenue and Lugo tivenua
-between Carass Street and �lm Avenue.
9, The construction of bituminous macadam pavement
on Josephine Street between Bu11is �oad and
Muriel Drivo.
10. The construction of bituminous macadam pavement
on A�nes Avenue between Bullis Road arid Caress •
Street.
11. The construction of bituminous macadam pavenient
on Peach Street betr�reen Carlin.{Svenue and Euclid
Avenue.
12. The construction of premix rocli and oil pavement
on Pluma Street between Long Beach Boulevard and
Barlow Avenue. �
13. The construction of cement concrete curbs and
gutters on E4orton Road bet��een Bullis Road and
Gertrude Drive.
14. The construction of bituminous macadem pavement
on Otis Street between Imperial Highway and
Tweedy and Abbott Road.. '
And that the said Streets and Avenue which are to be
improved are of general County interest.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Lynwood that the Honorable Board of 5upervisors of the County
of Los Angeles, within the State of California, are hereby re-
quested by the City of Lynwood, Califo mia, to appropriate And
distribute $¢7,598.43 of gasol-ine tea funds, or from any other

fund where money is available, to the City of Lynivood, for the
purpose of said Street and Hvenue improvements sucYi as may be
done under Saction 1680 of the Streets and Highway �ode of the
State of California, and under such other provisions of la�v as
authorize such appropriation and�distribution for said purposes.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the appropriation and�dis-
tribution be msde by the Honorable Boar'd of Supervisor,s of said
County of Los Angeles and State of Californis ss promptly as

circum'stancea will permit, so that said street and avenue im-
provoment work can be initiated and carried out with the least
possible delay, in order to take care of the present emer�ency

of�rieeded iinprovement upon said. streets and avenuea in said City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 'City Clerk of the City
- oP Lynwood shall 'prepare a duly certified arid authenticated copy
of this Resolution and forthwith deliver th e same to the Honor-
able Board of Supervisors of the County o£ Los An�eles, and to
the Honorable Road Commission of said County.
