May 6 1940.
Regular Meeting,
Mayor Ross presiding and councilmen W Haack, Neil Okones, H P Kruse
H L Luwe and Geo Lindaman present.
Minutes of all April meetings were read and on motion by Okones
second by Kruse , same be approved as read, Motion carried.
Treasurers report was received, read and ordered placed on file.
It was moved by H P Kruse and second by H L Luwe that a Park
Fund be created and funds. for same be treated as al' other Towns
funds. Motion Carried.
The following Resolution was read and moved for adoption;
Be it resolved by the Town council of Wellsburg Iowa, that;
The Town Clerk is here'�p authorized to issue warrants
in vacation for payment of the following; claims;
Street Lightning, Motor Power - Freight & Express,
Posta#e;- Bonds- Bond interest;- Sales taxes -
Telephone tolls;- and Salary's. of all. re ular,,employee's
when duly presented and bills filed for same.
Vote on above Resolution;
Ayes- Haack,Kruee, Luwe, Okones,Lindaman
Nays None.

Special meeting of the Council on call of
the Mayor, for the purpose of actin, on a cigarette
application, and consider amending Ordnance 91 pertaining
to Beer Permits;
Mayor Ross presiding and all councilmen present;.
Application of Cigarbbte ppplica.tion of Fred V potter was
considered and on motion same was granted.
Ro7.1 call- Ayes- Haack- Kruse- Okones- Luwe- Lindaman.
Nays - none.
Relative of amending Ordinance # 91; relating to limiting
Class B beer permits,was voted on and all councilman voted
(no) . No amendment was considered.
It was moved by Haack second by Lindaman that Bond of F V
Potter for sale of Cigarettes be approved.
