BACKGROUND Staff prepared and mailed a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Rosemead Boulevard Improvement Project to the three engineering firms that the City has agreements with to receive requests for proposals. Some of the funding sources that will be used for the Rosemead Boulevard Improvement Project must be utilized by the year 2010 or the City forfeits funding Funding sources available to the City can be used for project engineering and inspection services. It is anticipated that the plans and specifications will take approximately seven to eight months to complete and two years to complete the Rosemead Boulevard improvements. Staff concurs that Elie Farah Inc. has the experience and the background to complete the Rosemead Boulevard Improvement Project. Bid Summary.
