WHEREAS, said Distriots 17, 18, 20 and 28 overlap into
the City of South Gate; and
"47HEREAS; the existence of said dietriots hae impaired the
revenue'of�all taxing agenciee for whioh taxea are lenied on
real property, for the reason that more than half the property
in the districts has been burdened with apecial asaeasmente to I
such an extent that the ownera thereof hace been unable to pay �
their taxea and asaessments, with the result that their property
_a_
has been deeded to the State; and
WHEREA3, said Diatricte 18 and 20 are eligible for Gaso—
line Tax aid under the formula heretofore adopted by the Los
Angeles County fioard of Supervisors; and
p�3F.REAS, a�tentative_allocation of �157,000 was ,
by the County of Los Angeles in its 1940-41 budget; and
WHEREAS, said fuada have been used for the relief of other
special�assessment districts; and
WHERF.AB, a definite plan has been developed Yor the liqui-
d.ation of all of the aforesaid dlstriata; and
WHEREAB, in order to accomplish our ob�ective it is imper—
ative that the greateet possible amount of Gasoline Tax oontrl-
bution be provided for said Dietricta 18 and 20, whioh together
comprise anoutetanding debt of more than one million dollara,
end which covePs approximately one fourth of the total area of
the City of Lynwood.
"NO�, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
doea hereby resolve; determine"and order as follows:
Section 1. That the pih�D.interest, convenience and neoes—
sity require the refunding of all of the remaining ad valorem
bond districta in the City of Lynwood.
Section 2. That to aacomplish the aforesaid purpose the
greatest poesible allocation of Gasoline Tax funds muet be made
by the County to aseist the refun8ln� of Lynwood Acquisition
and Improvement Districts 18 and 20.
3ection 3.. �That the Board of Supervisora of Los An�elea
County be, and they are hereby earneatly ur�ed and requested
to provide the greatest possible amount of (3asoline Tax fund
• for the relief of last said dietricts.in the 1941-42 budget.
5eation 4. That the City Clerk shall centify to the
passa�e of this resolution ahall deliver a certified copy
thereof to each member oY the Loa Angeles County Board of
_o� '
Supervisors and one copy to Col. Wayne Allen, County Adminis—
trative OfYicer. �
