A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SECOND EXTENSION OF GROVE PARK AS A
PLANNED DEVELOPMENT OVERLAY CONCEPT
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin approved Grove Park as a planned development
overlay concept and site district on February 18, 2020; and,
WHEREAS, the developer's agreement for Grove Park requires the commencement
of construction to begin within two -years of the approval of the OPD agreement; and,
WHEREAS, through a pandemic and the increase in supplies and materials the
developers of Grove Park have not been able to start the project; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tiffin recognizes the causes in the delay in
the project; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council at the February 1, 2022, council meeting granted an
extension to Grove Park; and,
WHEREAS, even though progress is being made on the project, another extension is
necessary for the project,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa,
with the approval of this resolution grant the Grove Park Planned Development
Overlay Concept and Site District a second extension to commence the construction
of the project until January 3, 2023.
On the 5th day of July, 2022, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Schnedler introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2022-060, A
RESOLUTION APPROVING A SECOND EXTENSION OF GROVE PARK AS A
PLANNED DEVELOPMENT OVERLAY CONCEPT and made a motion for approval.
Motion seconded by Councilperson Olney.
AYES: Schnedler, Limkemann, Havens, Olney, Orris.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: None.
Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor
Berner declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2022-060, A RESOLUTION
APPROVING A SECOND EXTENSION OF GROVE PARK AS A PLANNED
DEVELOPMENT OVERLAY CONCEPT to be adopted and signified his approval of
the same by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 5th day of July, 2022.
