RESOLUTION ORDERING THE BOARD OF SUPERVI-
SORS OF ANGELES COUNTY TO DIRECT THE .
CANCELLATION OF THE UNPAID SPECIAL ASSES3- .
MENT TAXES � LEVIED_ TO PAY PRINCIPAL .4ND =IN-
TEREST�OF BONDS OF LYNWOOD ACQUISITION AND
IMEROVE�'ENT DISTRIbP N0. 16._ , .. .

Be it reaolved by the City Council of the City of Lyn-
wood,�California, as followa, to�wit:
4VHEREAB, the City Council oi the City of Lynwood ie the
legislative body which conducted the proceedinga for the is-
suance of the bonds of Acquisition and Improvement Distriot
No. 16 in the Citq of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supernisora of Los Angelea County
has heretofore, under the authority of the provieions of Sec-
tions 1626, 1627 and 1628 of the Streets and Highways Code,
purchased bonds of said diatrict of the par value of �45,100
and has delivered the same, together with all their appurten-
ant coupone, to the City of Lynwood for cancellation; and
VPHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has heretofore purchased
the balance of the outstanding bonda and coupons of said dis-
trict, and has cancelled the same; and
ti'JHERF.AS, by reason of the aforesaid, all of the bonds
and coupone of said district have been completely retired and
canoelled.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby resolve; determine and order as folloc�s:
Section 1. That as the result of the retirement and can=
cellation of the bonds and coupona of.Lynwood Acquisition and
Improvement District No. 16, ae aforesald, under the provisions
oY said sectiona of the Streets and Hi�h�ays Code, that there
" is aufficient money in the Interest and Sinking Fund of said

district to adequately provide for the retirement or payment
of the penalties, interest and principal of all outatanding
bonde of eaid Lynwood Acquisition and Improvement Diatrict No.
16 as same are or shall fall due.
Section 2. That the Board of Supervisors of Los Angelea
County is hereby ordered to�direct the County Auditor and Coun-
ty Ta.x Gollector to cancel all special aseessment taxes to�ether
with penalties and/or interestec�. thereon levied to retire the
indebtedness of eaid Acquisition and Impronement Dlatrict No.
16 and which said taxes, penalties and/or interest are unpaid;
excepting however that as to assessmente, intereat and penalties
upon property the owner of which has elected to pay delinquent
taxes and assesaments under the provioiona of the la.w commonly
knownas the ten payment plan, or any other plen oY inatallment
pAyment, but has not thereby redeemed the property, a portion
of the asaessments, intereet and penaltiea equivalent to the
amount paid under the ten payment p��n, or any other plan of
installment payment, which hae been pleaed in the Interest and
Sinking Fund of the district, shall not be cancelled but the
remaining--portion ahall be cancelled. It ia the intent of the
� foregoin� that all of auch district aesessmenta, interest and
penaltiea shall be eliminated, first, by payment, and second,
the balance by cancellation.
' Sectihn 3. That Lhe City Council of the City of Lynwood
hereby Yinds and determines that the cancellation of assess-
. ,
ments as aforesal8 is in accordance v�ith a uniform plan which
is fair and equitable.
3ection 4. That the County Auditor ia hereby aiztfiorized
and inetructed-upon the cancellation of the aPoresaid nnpaid
special assesement taxes, penaltiea and/or interest, to notify
the State Controller of the credit which shall be allowed upon
the right of r,edemption for any property in said districtvuhich

M 3ection 5. That a certiPied copy of this resolution be
forthwith delivered to each of the following:
� 1. Board of Supervisors of Los An�eles County.
2. Loa Angelea County Auditor.
3. Loe Angeles County Treasurer and Tax Collector.
