A regular meeting of the Town Commission of the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida,was held on the 1st day of December, A.D. 1937. Commissioners Wallace and Bauer were present. As there wns no business to come before the Town Commiss- ioners at the meetings scheduled to be held during the months May to November inclusive, the Commissioners approved the ad- journement of such meetings. It was called to the attention of the Town Commission that the 1937 taxes for the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida, were now due. Tax Assessor Bauer presented to the Commission the 1937 Tax Roll for its consideration. The Tax Roll was carefully examined and approved. A motion was made, seconded and passed accepting the Roll as presented as the 1937 Tax Roll of the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida. Town Clerk Bauer was instructed to prepare in compliance with Section 7, Article 8, of the Charter Act of the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida a suitable notice and post same at the Door of the Town Hall, stating that the Commission of the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida would sit as a Board of Equalizers to hear any complaints regarding taxes or assessments as shown in the 1937 Tax Roll. A motion was put before the Commission to have the streets cleaned the same as they were the year before. The contract was let to Mr. Cooper who agreed to clean the streets shoveling the sand away and carrying off the pine needles that have fallen on the street for the amount of $98.00, the amount to be paid upon com- pletion of the job after it had been inspected and passed on by a member of the Commission. Town Clerk Bauer was instructed to pay Mr. Cooper when he presented his bill. Page #2. December 1st, 1937 The Commission approved the expenditure of $5.61 being the cost of a New Town Seal. The Town Clerk reported a balance on hand in the bank as of November 30th, 1937 of $846.50. The Commissioners passed a resolution changing the time of the monthly meeting from 7:30 P.M. to 10:30 A.M. and passed a resolution that the meeting may be held at the residence of any commissioner, in addition to being held at the Town Hall.
