BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Code, Chapter 4, Alcoholic Beverages, Is hereby amended by adding one new section to read as follows: Section 4-22 Possession of open container of alcoholic beverage or consumption of alcoholic heversue in certain public places. (a) It shall be unlawful for any person to possess any alcoholic beverage on any street. • sidewalk or city Varkin g facility acility unless such alcoholic beverage is in the original container and the seal is unbroken, exec t as pernnitted by state statute. (b) It shall be unlawful for any person to consume any alcoholic beverage on any street sidewalk or city parking facility. (c)The definition of"alcoholic bevcrages"contyined in Chol2ter4 shall apply tothissection. (d)This section shall not apply to possession or consumption of any alcoholic beverage in a licensed motor vehicle.
