I �11 z AN ORDINANCE OFTHE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,AMENDING SECTION 19- 315 OF THE CITY CODE PERTAINING TO VEHICLE LOADS BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 19-315 of the City Code Is hereby amended to read as follows: See. 19-315. Vehicle load. Loads required to he covered or secured. (a) It shall be unlawful for any person to drive or move any vehicles onto any street, roadway or alley, unless such vehicle is so constructed or loaded as to prevent its • contents from dropping, sifting, leaking, or otherwise escaping therefrom, or being blown off. It shall be unlawful to drive or move any vehicle within the city, the wheels or tires of which carry onto or deposit onto any public street, alley or roadway,or in any other public place of the city, mud, dirt, sticky substances, litter or foreign matter of any kind. Lbj No ep rson shall oneratc on an street or hi shwa pM motor vehicle.trailer or semi-trailer that is carrying goods or materials which may reasonably be expected to become dislodged and fall from the vehicle, trailer or semi-trailer M. u result of wind pressure or air pressure or by the movement of the vehicle. trailer or semi-trailer, unless the motor vehicle, trailer or semi-trailer has a protective cover or the load is sufliciently secured so that no op rtion of such goods or material can become dislodged and fall from the vehicle, trailer or semi-trailer while being transported. (c) No person shall operate on any street or highway any truck having a capacity in excess of one ton net weight that is carrying rock,dirt,Gravel,limbs or brush, or any combination of these unless the truck has a protective cover over the load such that no such materials can fall from the truck while heinG transported, except that this section shall not apply to trucks operated by a governmental entity while engaged in snow or ice removal. • Drafler's Note: Deleted text is shown thus.
