SUBJECT: TRANSPORTATION AND PUBLIC SAFETY COMMISSION ACTIONS -
MEETING OF JULY 11, 2018
RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council is requested to receive and file the Transportation and Public Safety
Commission (Commission) actions from their regular meeting of July 11 , 2018 .
BACKGROUND:
On July 11, 2018 the Commiss ion held their regularly scheduled meeting .
ANALYSIS:
The following is a summary of actions taken at the July 11, 2018 , meeting:
1. ROLL CALL
Present: Commissioner-Kwan , Nimri , Clift, Blatt
Absent: Commissioner -None
Excused : Commissioner-Palm ieri
2 . CEREMONIAL MATTERS
The Comm ission proceeded with the annual reorganization of the Commission by
appointing Commissioner Clift as Chairman and Commissioner Nimri as Vice-
Chairman for a one-year term .

3 . CONSENT CALENDAR
The Commission approved the minutes , as amended , of the June 13, 2018 meeting.
4. PARKING CITATION HEARINGS
The Commission held four hearings in person. Three citations were dism issed and
one citation was upheld.

CITY STRATEGIC GOALS:
Reviewing the Transportation and Public Safety Commission Actions furthers the City 's
Strategic Goal of Citizen Education and Communication.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year 2018-19 City Budget.
