SUBJECT : PLANNING COMMISSION ACTIONS-MEETING OF JUNE 26 , 2018 RECOMMENDATION: The City Council is requested to receive and file the Planning Commiss ion (Commission) actions from their meeting of June 26 , 2018 . BACKGROUND: On June 26 , 2018 , the Commiss ion held their regularly scheduled meeting . ANALYSIS : The follow ing is a summary of actions taken at the June 26 , 2018 meeting : 1. ROLL CALL : Present: Commissioner-Lee , O'Leary , Chair Marston Absent: Commissioner-Haddad , V ice-Chair Cordes Excused : Commissioner-None 2 . CONSENT CALENDAR The Commission approved the minutes from their regular meeting of June 12 , 2018 . City Council July 17, 2018 Page 2 of 3 3 . PUBLIC HEARING A. A REQUEST FOR TIME EXTENSION FOR TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP NO . 73888 AND THE ASSOCIATED MINOR SITE PLAN REVIEW . THE TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP AND THE MINOR SITE PLAN REVIEW WERE APPROVED IN 2016 FOR A LOT SPLIT SUBDIVISION AND FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF A NEW SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE ON EACH LOT The Commission approved a request for a 12 month time extension for a tentative parcel map and site plan review located at 5924 Reno Avenue . The property is 15,800 square feet ; each parcel is 3,082 square feet consisting of five bedrooms and three car garage . The property is located in the R-1, zone, and is designated as Single Family Residential by the City's General Plan . 4. UNFINISHED BUSINESS-None 5. NEW BUSINESS-None 6. COMMUNICATIONS A. ZONING CODE UPDATE -R-2 AND R-3 , MULTI -FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE DISTRICT The Commission opined and gathered public input regarding the proposed changes to the R-2 and R-3 Multi-Family Residential District to reflect the recently adopted Mid-Century General Plan . Proposed changes and topics discussed included allowable uses , development and architectural standards , guest parking , and landscaping . 7 . UPDATE FROM THE PLANNING MANAGER-None 8 . ADJOURNMENT The Commission meeting was adjourned at 8 :54 p.m. CITY STRATEGIC GOALS: Reviewing the Commission actions of June 26 , 2018 , furthers the City's Strategic Goals of Citizen Education and Communication. City Council July 17 , 2018 Page 3 of 3 FISCAL IMPACT: This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year 2018-19 City Budget.
