SUBJECT: ADOPTION OF NEW RESOLUTION NUMBER CHANGING THE
REFERENCE NUMBER OF RESOLUTION 18-5342 TO 18-5348
PERTAINING TO PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSIONER
APPOINTMENTS
RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council is requested to adopt Resolution No . 18-5348 (Attachment A) changing
the reference number of Resolution No . 18-5342 pertaining to Appointments to Parks and
Recreation Commission .
BACKGROUND:
On July 3, 2018 , the City Council adopted two different Resolut ion No 's . 18-5342 , one
adopting the Mobile Sou rce Air Pollution Reduction (MSRC) Local Government
Partnership Program and the other confirm ing appointments to the Parks and Recreation
Commission .
ANALYSIS:
Due to clerical error, the same res olution number was used for both the approval of the
MSRC Local Government Partnership Program and the appointment of the Parks and
Recreation Comm issioners.
Staff recommends Resolution No . 18-5342 continue to be used for adopting the MSRC
Local Government Partnersh ip Program to allow Parks and Recreation staff to submit the
required documentation and signed Resolution in a timely matter. Staff further
recommends that the City Council adopt the attached Reso lution No . 18-5348 , changing
the reference resolution number pertaining to appointment of the Parks and Recreation
Commissioners . The Parks and Recreation Commission's first meeting in July will be held

on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 . Therefore, the adoption of this Resolut ion will not affect the
appointment of the Parks and Recreation Commissioners .
CITY'S STRATEGIC GOALS:
Adoption of Resolution No. 18-5348 will further the City 's Strategic Goal of Good
Governance .
FISCAL IMPACT:
Th is item does not have an impact on the adopted FY 2018-19 City Budget.

RESOLUTION NO. 18-5348
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY CHANGING THE REFERENCE NUMBER OF
RESOLUTION NO . 18-5342 FOR CONFIRMING
APPOINTMENTS TO PARKS AND RECREATION
COMMISSION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS :
WHEREAS , on July 3, 2018 , City Council adopted Resolution No . 18-5342
confirming appointment of Donna Georgina and Kristel Haddad to the Parks and
Recreation Commission of C ity of Temple Ci ty with term to expire on June 30 , 2020 .
WHEREAS , on July 3, 2018 , City Council also adopted Resolution No . 18-5342
adopting the MSRC Local Government Partnersh ip Program requirements for $16 ,000
MSRC matching funds.
WHEREAS , on July 6 , 2018 , while preparing resolutions for Mayor's signature ,
staff noticed that the same resolut ion number was assigned to two different items .
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY HEREBY ORDAINS AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . The resolut ion number for confirming appointment of Donna
Georgina and Kristel Haddad to the Parks and Re c reation Commission of C ity of Temple
City with term to expire on June 30 , 2020 , is hereby changed to Resolution No . 18-5348 .
SECTION 2: The City Clerk is authorized to take the necessary admin ist rative
actions to change the resolution reference number and ensure that the resolut ion adopted
on July 3, 2018 , confirming appointment of Donna Georgina and Kristel Haddad to the
Parks and Recreation Commission of City of Temple City with term to expire on June 30 ,
2020 , is hereby changed to Resolution No . 18-5348 .
SECTION 3: The City Clerk shall cert ify to the passage and adoption of this
resolut ion .
