Council Chambers lo cated at 5938 Kauffman Aven ue , Temple City.

PRESENT: Councilmember-Chavez , Sternquist , Yu, Fish , Man
ABSENT : Councilmember-None
ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Cook and Deputy City Clerk Nunez
3. PUBLIC COMMENTS -None
4. DISCUSSION ITEM
A. C HAMBER OF COMMERCE DISCUSSION
The City has contracted with the Chamber of Commerce to perform services in
support of business promotio n, business eve nts and business related public
information. City Council is requested to hold a discussion regard ing the City's
agreement with th e Chamber.
City Manager Cook gave a brief overview of the staff report and asked if the
Mayor wou ld allow Temple City Chamber of Commerce Pres id ent/CEO Peter
Choi to speak before Council he ld a discussion.
Temple City Chamber of Co mm erce President/CEO Cho i gave a presentation
regarding services th ey provid e t o th e commu nity.
City Counci l asked questions and made comments regarding the Chamber of
Commerce budget , Temple City Life , and services offered .
Councilmembe r Chavez left the meeting at 2 :12p.m. and returned at 2 :13p.m.
Mayor Man opened up pub l ic comment.
Jerry Jambazian , Temple Ci ty res iden t , exp ressed concerns he has with services
the Chambe r of Commerce provides .

Franklin Ruedel , Chamber of Commerce Board member, commented on merging
the Chamber of Commerce with City Hall.
After hearing no further request to speak , Mayor Man closed public comment.
C ity Council directed staff to review the expectations and scope of services of the
Chamber of Commerce 's current agreement , explore the option of combining
Chamber of Commerce with City Hall , and explore other options in terms of
future long term use of the Chamber of Commerce property on Las Tunas Drive
and Sultana Ave.
5. ADJOURNMENT
The City Council Special Meeting was adjourned at 3 :19p.m.
