SUBJECT: TRANSPORTATION AND PUBLIC SAFETY COMMISSION ACTIONS -
MEETING OF MAY 9, 2018.
RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council is requested to receive and file the Transportation and Public Safety
Commission (Commission) actions from the ir regular meeting of May 9 , 2018 .
BACKGROUND:
On May 9, 2018 the Commission held their regularly scheduled meeting .
ANALYSIS:
The following is a summary of actions taken at the May 9, 2018 , meeting :
1. ROLL CALL
Present: Commissioner-Palmieri , Vice -Chairman Clift ,
Chairman Blatt
Absent: Commissioner -None
Excused : Commissioner-Kwan, Nimri
2. CONSENT CALENDAR
The Commission approved the minutes of the April 11 , 2018 meeting .

3. PARKING CITATION HEARINGS
The Commission held nine hearings in person . Four citations were upheld , four
citations were dismissed and one citation was continued to the June 13 , 2018
Transportation and Public Safety Meeting .
The Commission held eight hearings by written declaration . Two citations were
upheld and six citations were dismissed.
CITY STRATEGIC GOALS:
Reviewing the Transportation and Public Safety Commission Actions furthers the City 's
Strategic Goal of Citizen Education and Communication.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year 2017-18 City Budget.
