RESOLUTION N0. 1135 .
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD ADOPTING THE REPORT OF THE CITY
ENGINEER RELATIIJG TO THE SERVIC� IdECESSARY
TO MAINTAIN AND ILLUNIINATE BY ELECTRIC ENERGY
� THE SUSPENDED STREET LAIvIPS AND THE LAMPS ON
ORNAMENTAL STANDARDS IN LIGHTING DISTRICT N0.
11 OF THE CITY OF LYNVJOOD.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Lynwood,
did on the 19th day of July, 1938, f11e with the City Clerk
as ordered by Resolution No. 1113, of the City Council of the •
Cityr of Lynwood, adopted June 7th, 1938, a report relating, .
to the service necessary to maintain and illuminate by means
of electrlc energy the suspended electric street lamps of
250 and 600 candle power and the 250 candle power loca.ted on
• ornamental standarda in certain streets in the City of Lynwood,
said written report presenting the following:
. 1. Plans and specifications for the proposed
improveinent. '
2. An estimate of the cost of said improvement
for the period of time specified in the
Resolution of Intention.
3. A diagram showing the asseasruent district
and also the boundaries and dimensions of
the respective and sub-divisiona of land
within said district, each of said sub-
divisions being given a separnte number on '
eaid diagram.
4. A proposed asseasment of the total amount
of the costs and expensea of the proposed
improvements upon the several subdivisions
of land in said district in proportion to
the estimated benefits to be received by
said sub-divisions. Said assessment shall °
refer to such sub-divisions upon said dia-
gram by the respecti've''number thereon, and
it shall shovr the names of the owners, if
known, othervrise designating them ae unknown.
NOVV THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Lynwood tha.t said report, unmodified, is hereby
approved and adopted as a whole as the report for all sub-.
sequent proceedings had hereunder.' . � �
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in accorda.nce with that

certain act of the Legislature of the State of California
designated "An 9ct to Provide for the.Maintenance by Munici-
palities of Lighting 8ystems along Public Streets, Alleys, and
other public nlaces for the Lighting thereof by electric current,
gas or other illuminating agent; and for the assessment of
,
tne costs and expense�thereof upon the property.benefited and
the manner of collection, said assessments commonly known as •
the "Street Lighting Act of 1919", approved May 16th, 1919,
and amendments thereto, the City Counci3 does hereby fix Tues-
day, the 16th day.of August, 1938, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock
P.Pd. in the Council chambers of said City Council in the City
' Hall in the�City of Lynwood, as the time and place ior hearing
any and all protests in relation to said proposed improvement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that. the City Clerk of the
City of Lynwood is hereby d to give notice of said hear-'
ing in the time, form and� manner required by la�v, and to pub-
lish notice of said hearing in the Lyn��ood Prees,�a �eekly news-
paper published and circulated in sald City.�
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of July, 1938.

tion was duly introduced and adopted at a. regular meeting of
the City Council of the Gity of Lynwood held on Tuesday the
19th day of July, 1938, by the folloraing vote:
