A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LYN�'JOOD, �
CALIFORNSA, CONFIRMING REPORT OF THE
STREET SUPERINTEIJDENT IN CONNECTION
VIITH THE ABATEIVIEP.TT OF DRY AND DRYING
WEEDS FOR FISCAL YEAR•1938-39 UNDER
ACT 5197 OF Th'E GENERAL LAVJS OF THE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AS AIt4ENDED.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood, Calif-
' ornia, did on the 19th day of April, 1958, adopt a Resolution
No. 1098 relating to the abatement of dry and drying weeds on
certain lots oP land in the City of .Lync�ood under Act 5197 of
• . ,
the Legislature of the State of California as amended, �vhich
said Resolution fixed Niay 3rd,.1938 when any and all interested .
persons might ob�ect to said improvement, and
FlHEREAS, said hearing was had and held in accordance
with law a.nd the Street Superintendent was instructed to proceed
to abate the nuisancea, and
K�HEREAS, the Street Superintendent has filed with the
City Council of the City of Lynwood an itemized report in writ-
ing showing the cost of removing such weeds on each separate lot I
and has caused a copy thereof to be posted on the bulletin board
in the City Hall near the chamber door of the legielati.ve body,
and
, WHEREAS, it appears that notices were posted according
to law and that the proceedings were had and done in conformanc�
with'the General Lavrs of the State of California; and .
WHEREAS, hearing has been duly held upon said report
and no ob,ject?ons have been filed by any of the property ovaners
owning the property described in the report of said Street
Superintendent of the City of Lynwood,
NOW, TY,EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by' tlie City Council
. of the City of Lynwood that the said report of the Street Super- .
intendent of the City of Lynwood be and sare is hereby confir[�ed

and that the amounts of the cost for abating such nuisances upon
the various parcels of land as shown in said report shall and
the same do hereby constitute apecial assessmenta against the
said respective parcel of land and shall constitute a lien on
said property for the amount of same, .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the
City of Lynwood be and he Se hereby instructed to turn over to
the Tax Collector of the County of Los Angeles a copy of the
report of.the Street Superintendent and said Tax Collector ie
hereby instructed.to add tYie amounts of the` respective assess-
menta to the regular bills for ta�es covering fiscal year 1938-39
as provided by Section 7 of said Act 5197. .
