A RE80LUTION OF.THE CI`I'Y COUNCIL OF THE OITY OF
LYNWOOD OVER-RULZNG PROTESTS, ORDERING THE WORK
AND LEVYING THE PROPOSED ASSESSNENT FOR SERVICE
NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN AND ILLUMINATE THE SUS-
PENDED ELECTRIC STREET LAMPS AND THE LAMPS ON
ORNAMENTAL STANDARDS IN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD. ,

Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Lynwood as follows:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood,
California, did on the 19th day of July, 1938, adopt a Reso-
lution No. 1135 fixing the time and place for a hearing in
the matter of Lighting Maintenance No. ll of the City of Lyn-
wood, and
WHEREAS, - one protest " or ob-
�ection w�.filed with the City Clerk ob,Jecting to
the proposed improvement, the extent of the assesament dis-
trict and the assessment therefor, and
WHEREAS, all interestefl persona were given full op-
' portunity to present their proteste or ob�ections, and
WHEREAS; evidence has been received as to the,publi-
.
cation and posting of notice of said hearing in the time, form
and manner reo,uired by law,
NOW, THEREFORE, the said City Council after due,con-
sideration, of all such ob,jectione and protesta, does hereby
over-rule and deny auch protesta and ob,�ections and each of �
them, to the work or improvement to be done within said Light-
ing Maintenance District as described in Resolution No. 1113 -
of said City and to the proposed assesement therePor; and
does hereby confirm and adopt as a �vhole, unmodified, the as-
sesamentand report as described in said Resolution No. 1135, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the public interest and
, convenience demand and require and thie City Council does here-
by order the eaid contenplated improvement to be made in ac-
cordance with the plans and apecifica.ti'ona therefor, adopted
and approved; and the City Council does hereby levy the said
propoaed assessment made to cover the costs and expenaes of
said improvement upon the respective subdivision of land in
said dietrict and as fixed by the propoeed report and assess- '
ment�heretofore filed in the office of theCity Clerk, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the
Ciby of Lynwood is hereby ordered to transr�it to the County
Tax Collector of the County of Los Angeles,the diagram and as-
secsment upon which such leny is based and said County Tax .
Collector is hereby authorized and directed to make collections
of all sach asaessments, and to perform all the acte and duties
as are required of and to be performed by the persona desig-
nated as "Tax Collector!' in Section 7 of the 9treet Lighting
- -Act of 1919, as amended.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the time here6y fixed,
for receiving bids for the doing of said work and improvement
herein ordered is the 6th day of September , 1938, at
the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. and the Gity'Clerk is hereby
ordered to post and publish a notice inviting sealed proposa.ls
in the time, form and manner set forth in Section 15 of said �
"Street Lighting Act of 1919", as amended.
Said publication sha�l be made in the Lynvrood Press,
a weekly newspaper printed and publiahed in eaid City.
