BE IT RESOLVED BY THE DIIAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LYIQPJOOD, CALIFORnIIA, AS FOLL0IVS:
That the public convenience and necessity require that
all st�reets, tioulevards, avenues and roads and vrays, dedicated,

improved and used for public thoroughfares within the City of .
L,yntivood, Cali�'ornia, be uniformly named and designated.

THEREFORE; be it resolved that the name of the first
street northerly of Norton Avenue extending from Long Beach B1vd.
to Barlo;v Avenue, is hereby designated, fixed and established as
Pluma 5treet.
That the name of the first street easterl;/ from Long
Beach Blvd. extending from the NortherIy line,`of Imperia,l Highway
to the soutnerly line of Century Boulevard, a portion of which

is sometimes kn�own�as �essions Street; be` and the same ia hereby

fixed, designated and established as �California Street.
That the name of the first s,treet�westerly from
Barlow Avenue, extending from Norton Avenue to Century Boulevard,
a portion of which is sometimes known as Anderson Avenue, be and
the same is hereb,y fixed, designated and established as State Street.
That the name of Norton Avenue (sometimes known as Downey
Road) extending from Alameda Street to the easterly boundary line of
Tract No. 5418 as per Map recorded in Book 59, Page 42 of P��Iaps,
Records of Los Angeles County, California be changed to, and es-

Be it further resolved that tne City Clerk shall forth-
�aith transmit a duly certified and authenticated copy of this

Resolution to the County Surveyor of Los Angeles County, California
an� to any other governmental agency requiring euch a copy for
the purpose of correcting and fixing the established nanes and
designations of streets and avenues upon official maps and
records of the County:
Passed and adopted at the regular Pdarch 7, 1939 meeting
of the City Council of the said City of Lynwood.
