AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, RELINQUISHING A CERTAIN
EASEMENT FOR DRAINAGE AND UTILITY PURPOSES ON LOT B OF THE REPLAT OF
FOX RIDGE SUBDIVISION.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, by an easement recorded in Plat Book 9, Page 125, of the Records of the Cole
County, Missouri, a sewer easement was granted to the City of Jefferson, a
Municipal Corporation, for drainage and to excavate within, Install, construct,
maintain and repair structures for the routing and conveyance of utilities in, under
and through the lots, tracts or parcels of land described in Section 1;
Section 1. The Council finds that the following described easement is surplus property
of the City and is no longer needed for any public purpose:
Part of Gray Fox Subdivision Replat, recorded in Plat Book 9, on Page 125 In the
records of the Cole County Recorder's Office being part of the southeast quarter
of the northwest quarter of Section 23, T44N, R12W and being more particularly
described as follows: Commencing at the northeast corner of Lot B; thence along
the east line of said Lot B, S19°12'43"E, 94.67 feet; thence S62°47'59"W, 21.75
• feet to a point on the north line of a 40 feet wide Drainage Control and Utility
Easement being the Point of Beginning for this description;Thence from the Point
of Beginning along the north line of the 40 feet wide Drainage Control and Utility
Easement, S62 047'59"W, 60.04 feet to the west line for Lot B; Thence along said
line S28 030'15"E, 18.00 feet to a point; Thence parallel with the south end of the
existing building N72°58'24"E, 50.57 feet, thence N37 027'09"E, 7,20 feet; Thence
N19°12'43"W, 24.08 feet to the Point of Beginning and containing in all 0.03 acres
more or less.
Section 2. The easement described in Section 1 is hereby relinquished, and the City does
hereby release and abandon whatever Interest it has in the easement.
Section 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute any necessary
legal document relinquishing all of the City's Interest in the tract of ground described in Section
1.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the dale of its
passage and approval. / /
