A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD ADOPTING THE REPORT OF THE CITY
ENGINEER RELATING TO THE SERVICE NECESSARY
TO MAIN2AIN AND ILLUMINATE BY ELECTRIC ENERGY
THE SU3PENDED STREET LAMPS AND THE LAMPS ON
ORNAP�?ENTAL 9TANDARDB IN LIGHTING DISTRICT N0,
12 OF THE CITY OF LYNNOOD,
PIHEREAS, the City Engineer bf the City of Lynwood,
. did on the 5th day of July, 1939, file v�ith the City Clerk
as ordered bq Resolution No. 1180, of the City Council of
the City of Lynwood, adopted June 6th, 1939, a report
relating to the seryice necessary to maintain and illuminate
by means of electric energy the suspended elecstric street
lamps of 250 and 600 candle power and the 250 candle power
located on ornamental etandards in certain atreete in the
City of Lynwood, said written report presenting the
following:
. __�_______1.__ Plans and apecificiations for the proposed
improvement.
2. An eatimate of the cost of said improvement
for the period of time epecified in the
Resolution oP Intention.
3. A diagram showing the assesament district
and also the boundaries and dimeneions oP
the respective and eub-divisiona of land
within eaid diatrict, each of said sub-
divisions being glven a separate number on
said diagram.
4. A proposed assessment of the total amount
of the coets and expenaea of the proposed
improvements upon the several aubdivisione
of land in eaid dietrict in proportion to
the eati.mated beneYits to be received by
said aub-3lvisions. Said assessment ehall
refer to such sub-divisions upon said dia-
gram by the respective number thereon, and
it ahall show the names of the owners, if
known, otherwise designating them as un-
known.
NOPJ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Lynwood that said report, unmodified, is herebq

� sequent proceedings had hereunder. - `
` BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in accordance with that
" certain act� of.the Legislature oP the State oP California�
, designated "An Act to. for the Maintenance by Idunicl-
palltiea of Lighting Systems along Public Streets, Alleys,
� and other public places for the Lighting thereof.by eleetric
• current,.gas�or other'illuminating agent; and the assess-
' ment of.cost,s and expense thereof upon the property benefited
� and the manner of collection, said assessments commonly.known
. as the "Street Lighting Act of 1919", approved May 16th, 191G,
� and amendmerits thereto, the C1ty,Council does hereby fix
Tuesday, the lst day.of August,`°1939,:,at the hour of 8:00
o'cTock P.M. in the Council Chambers oP,said City"Council in
° the City Hall in the Ci'Cy of Lynwood, as the time and place
� for hearing any and all"protests in relatinn to said pro-

BE IT�FiJRTHER RES.OLyED,.that the City Clerk of the
City of Lyriwood is hereby directed to give notice of said
° hearing in the time, form and manner required by law,. and

weekly newspaper pubTished and circulated in said City.
