CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. 2013-74
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF
ORDINANCE NO. 544 BY TITLE AND SUMMARY
WHEREAS, the city council of the city of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 544, an
ordinance amending the official zoning map to rezone the property being subdivided as "Fields of
Medina West"; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes § 412.191, subdivision 4 allows publication by title and
summary in the case of lengthy ordinances or those containing charts or maps; and
WHEREAS, the ordinance is 2 pages in length and contains a map; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 544 described the property to be rezoned utilizing legal
descriptions of the property prior to subdivision; and
WHEREAS, the property has subsequently been subdivided and is now described using
platted legal descriptions; and
WHEREAS, the city council believes that the following summary would clearly inform the
public of the intent and effect of the ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina that
the city administrator -clerk shall cause the following summary of Ordinance No. 544 to be
published in the official newspaper in lieu of the ordinance in its entirety:
Public Notice
The city council of the city of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 544, an ordinance
amending the official zoning map to rezone the property subdivided as Fields of Medina West.
The property is located east of Arrowhead Drive and north of Meander Road. The ordinance
rezones all lots within Blocks 1-5, Fields of Medina West and also Outlots B-G, Fields of Medina
West from Rural Residential -Urban Reserve (RR-UR) to Two Family Residential (R2). The
ordinance also rezones Outlot A, Fields of Medina West from Rural Residential -Urban Reserve
(RR-UR) to Public/Semi-Public (PS).
The full text of Ordinance No. 544 is available from the city administrator -clerk at Medina city hall
during regular business hours.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina that the city
administrator -clerk keep a copy of the ordinance in his office at city hall for public inspection and
that he post a full copy of the ordinance in a public place within the city.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina that the Zoning
Administrator is directed to make the appropriate changes of the official zoning map of the City of
Medina as described in the Public Notice above upon publication of this notice.

and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Anderson, Martin, Martinson, Pederson, Weir
And the following voted against same:
None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
