THIS AGREEi�,�NT, made the St:n day of November, 1939�
by and between the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los
Angeles, State of California and the City of Lynwood a muni-
ciPality of the State of California, subject to the approval
of the State Controller of the State of California,
�^IITNESSETH that: -
VJFIEREAS, certain real property within said County and
' within said City of Lynwood, and hereinafter more partioularly
described, has been deeded to the State for delinquent taxes
of said City, within the meaning thereof as provided by Sections
3897d and 3897.3 of. the Political Code of the State of Cali£ornia;
and
• V1':iER�AS, the previous City administration eavFl in the
years 1928 and 1929.caused to be imposed upon the property here-
inafter described certain special assossment: tAxes under and by
virtue of the Acquisition and Improvement Act of 1925; and
'iVHEREAS, under said Act two districts were created and
bonds issued on territorial districts in which the subject property
lay, namely, LynYVOOd Acquisition and Improvement Districts 1los. 8
and 25; and
�`JHERLAS, in the refunding of said district No. B, under
the Assesement Bond Refunding Act of 1933, a bond was issued on
the said property in the principal sum of �359.44; and
WHERFAS, in the refunding of said district No. 25 a
� bond was issued'on said property in the principal sum of
�$10,863.00; and

WHERF�S, in the proceedings for the refunding of said
districts the City o£ Lynwood was unable to sell the aforesaid ,
bonds issued a�ainst the subject property and v�as,-, therefore,
compelled to purchase the same in order to *nake possible the com-
pletion of the refundino of the outstanding bonds of said Acqui-
sition and Improve�ent Districts; and
WHiHEAS, no part of the principal ar.�interest on said
refunding bonds has been paid and from all indications it is un-
likely that said bonds or any part thereof will be paid unless
the said City is able to efFect a purchase of said nroperty fro�
the County of Los Angeles as hereinafter provided; and
WiiEREAS, the City is in great need of.the money repre-
. sented by said refunding bonds which the City o�vns on said property;
and -
�which
WH��tEAS, the taxes on said property�have been delin-
uuent since 1930 now aggregate in principal amount approximately
�3,000.00, without interest or penalties of any kind which would
be required to be paid in the event of redenption by the record
owner; and
GJH�REAS, the combined total of the delinquent taxes and
-�
the refunding bonds�are1so g:eat that the present property owners
are unable to pay them and are unable.to sell the property sub-
ject thereto witi� the reault that said property is and wi11 con-
tinuously remain o,ff the tax rolls to the great detriment of the
said City, County and all other taxing agencies; and
PJIIERFsAS, it now appears quite likely that if the City
of Lynwood can acouire said property it will be able to sell the
same to a subdivider who will within a short time make many im-
provements of a creditable nature on said property, thus material ly
� increasin� the assessed value and consequently the revenue to be
derived from said property in taxes future -years; and

:. jectives the general tax debt' on said.propert� must be eliminated,
as the .
cost of clearing said bonds and the acquiring of tit�le
to;said property, total an amount equal to the present market
' value of said property; and .

NOW,-T3��GFORE, it is hereby agneed that the City of
Lyn�rood' si�all purcnase and the County.of Los Angeles' shall sell �
