OF LYN�v00D ADOPTING TH� REPORT OF ThE CITY
ENGINESR RELATING TO THE SERVICE NECESSARY

13 OF THE CITY OF LYN�/00D.
ZNHEREAS, the City En�ineer of the City of Lynvaood,
did on the 1st day of July, 1940, file r•,�ith the City C1erk
a.s orclered by Resolution No. 1240, of the City Council of
the City of Lyn�vood, adopted June 4th, 1940, a report
relating to the service necessary to maintain and illuminate
by meana of electric energy the suspended electric street
lamps of 250 and 600 candle povJer and the 250 c�_ndle po�^�er
located on ornamental standards in certain �treets in the
City of Tymvood, said v�7ritten report presenting the
follovring:
1. Pl�ns and specifications for the proposed
improvement.
2. An estimate of the cost of eaid improvement
for the period of time specified. in the
Resolution oi Intention.
3. 9 diagram sho�ing the assessment district
ana also the boundaries and dimensions of
the respective and sub-divisions of land
within sa.id district, eacn of said sub-
divisions being given a separate number on
said diagram.
4. A proposed assessnen� of tne total amount
of the costs and_ expenses o_° the proposed
improvements upon the several subdivisiona
of la.nd. in said district in proportion to
the eetimated benefits to be received by
e�id sub-divisions. Said assessment shall
refer to such sub-divisions upon said. dia-
gram by the respective numbes• thereon, and
it shall show the names of the ov�ners, if
kno��.*n, otherwise designating them as un-
knoi�n.
NOiRl THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the �ity Council of
the City of Lynvaood that said report, unmodified, is hereby

a.pproved and adopted as a u�hole as the report for all sub-
sequent proceedings had hereunder.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in accordance �vith that
certain act of the L•egislature of the Sta�e oi California
deeignated "An Act to Provide for tY�e P.?aintenance �by i+�iunici-
palities of Lignting Systems along Public Streets, Alleys,
and other public places for the Lighting thereof by electric
current, gas or other illuminating agent; a.nd for the asaesa-
ment of coets and expense thereor upon the property benefited
and the manner of collection, said assesements comr�only knoitin
as the "Street Lighting 9ct of 1919", apnroved P.�?ay 16tY!, 1919,
and amend.ments thereto, the City Council does hereby fix
Tuesday, the 6th da.y of August, 1940, at the hour of 8:00
o'clock P. AII. in the Council Chambers of said_ City Council in
the City Hall in the City of Lynsvood, as the time and place
for hearing any a.nd a.11 protests in relation to said �ro-
posed improvement. '
BE IT FURTHER RWSOLVED, trat the CitS� Clerk of the
Ci'ty of Lynwood is hereby directed to give notice of said
hearing in the time, form 2,nd manner required by larv, and
to publish notice of said hearing in the Lymvood Press, a
vreekl,y newspaper published and circulated in eaid City.
