A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD OVER-RULING PROTESTS,
ORDERING THE WORK AND LEVYING THE PROPOSED
ASSESSMENT FOR SERVICE NECESSARY TO MAIN-
TAIN AND ILLUMINATE THE SUSPENDED ELECTRIC
STREET LAMPS AND THE LAtdPS ON ORNA9�IENTAL
STANDARDS IN THE CITY OF LYNV�OOD.
Be it resolved by the City Council oY the City of
Lynvrood as Pollowa:
- WHEAEAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood,
California, did on the 2nd day of July, 1940, adopt a
Resolution No. 1246 fixing the time and place for a hear-
ing in the matter of Lighting Maintenance No. 13.of the
City of Lynwood, and -

�4HEREAS, three protest s or
" ob,jections w��,e filed with the City Clerk
• ob3ecting to the proposed improvement, the extent of the
assessment diatrict and the asseasment therefor, and
WHEREAS, all interested persons were given full
opportunity to present their proteats or ob,jections, and .
PIHEREAS, evidence has been received ae to the
publication and posting of notice of said hearing in the
time, form and.manner required by lavr... ,
NOW, THEREFORE, the Said City Council after due
consideration, oF all such ob�ections and proteate, doea
hereby over-rule and deny such protests and obJections
and each of them, to the work or improvement to be done
within said Lighting Maintenance District as Described in
Resolution No. 1240 of said City and to the proposed

assessment therefor; and does hereby conPirm and adopt as
a whole, unmodified, the assessment and report as described
in said Resolution No. I246, arid ,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the public interest and
convenience demand and require and this City Council doea •
hereby order the said contemplated improvement to be made
in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor,
adopted arid approved;.and the City Council doea hereby levy
the said proposed assessment made to cover the costs and
expenses oP said impro.vement upon the reapective aubdivision
of land in 8aid district arid as fixed by the propsed report
� and assessment heretofore filed in the office of the City
Clerk, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the
City of Lynwood ie hereby ordered to transmit �tb the County
Tax Collector of the County of Loe Angelea, the diagram and
assessment'upon which�such levy is based and said County Tax
Collector is hereby authorized and directed to make collections
of all such assessments, and to perform all the acts and
duties as are required of and to be performed by the persone
deaignated as "Tas Collector" in Section 7 oY Street Light-
ing Act of 1919, as amended.
' BE IT F'URTHER RESOLVED, that the time hereby Pixed
for receiving bids for the doing of said work and improvement
herein ordered Ss the 20th day of Auguat, 1940, at the hour
of 8:00 o'clock P.M. and the City Clerk Ss hereby ordered to
post and publiah a notice inviting sealed pronoeals in the
time, form and manner set forth in 8ection 15 of sai.d °8treet
Lighting Act of 1919", as amended.

Said publication shall be made in the Lynwood Preas,
a weekly newspaper printed and published in said City,
, ADOPTED and APPROVED this 6th day of August, 1940
