A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARD-
I�!G CONTRAGT FOR FURNISHING ELECTRIC CUR-
RENT FOR PURFOSE OF ILLUMInATING CERTAIN
STREET LPS+IPS IN 5AID CITY TO THE SOUTHERN
CALIFORTdIA EDISON COI�4PADIY.
Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Lynwood, as follows:
TNHEREAS, heretofore the City Council of the City of
. Lynwood, by proper proceedings had and taken, called for bids
for the furnishing of the service necessary to maintain and
113uminate by means oP electric energy certain lights in eaid
�ity of Lynwood, and
WHEREAS, due and legal advertisement has�been given
in the premises calling for such bids, and
��1HEREAS, August 20, 1940 was the da � on which such
-.- - bids were to be received, opened and publicly declared, and
t'dHEREAS, one bid only has been filed in the �remises
Yor doing such work, 'Go vrit: The bid of the Southern Califor-
nia Edison Company,'Ltd., which was the only bid filed, and
'r�HEREAS, on August 20, 1940 Lhe said City Council
, duly opened the bide in said matter, to vrit: The said bid
. of ,said Company, and publicly dec�ared the same, and
�NHEREAS, the said City Council deems said bid of
sa.id corripany to be a reasonable bid and should be accepted.
NOISr; THEREFORE, the sa.id bid of sald Southern Calif-
ornia Edison Company, Ltd., is hereby and the contract
for said crork as called for in said proceedings, is hereby a-
sva.rded to said 5outhern California Edison Co., Ltd., at the

The Mayor and the City Clerk of sald Cit� are here-
by ordered and directed to euecute such contract in and for
