AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CON'T'RACT
WITH C \'LE ASSOCLATES, RE: CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION
PHASE SERVICES FOR CARTERET WATERFRONT PROMENADE
MOORING BOLLARD AND RECREATION PIER PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional engineering services for
Construction Administration Phase Services for Carteret Waterfront Promenade Morning
Bollard and Recreation Pier Project; and
WHEREAS, C\IE Associates, 1460 Route 9 South, Howell, New Jersey 07731,
possesses the requisite experience and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, CNIE Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said services which
are specifically for Construction Administration Phase Services for Carteret. Waterfiont
Promenade Mooring Bollard and Recreation Pier Project at a total cost not to exceed
$125,000.00, of which 50 %.will be funded by the Carteret Port Authority (CA.PA.); and
\VHEREAS, the Mayor and the Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that finds are or will be available
for said purpose. -
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
I. The proposal from CME Associates for professional engineering
services for Construction Administration Phase Services for
Carteret Waterfront Promenade Mooring Bollard and Recreation
Pier Project, at a total cost not to exceed $125,000.00 is hereby
approved.
2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services
contract pursuant to N.J.S.A 40A:11- 5(1)(a) awarded pursuant to
the Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by law.
3. A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department, Carteret Port Authority and CME
Associates.
