Dear Mr. Ralph:
Please have the following information published in the
future issues of the Airman's Information Manual.
The McCall Municipal Airport is closed to all aircraft
,landing .with- wheels from December 7 to May 1 of each year
:until further notice. Pilots landing do so'at their own
,risk. NS runway 16-34 plowed only when city and county
snout plowing equipment is available. This runway, when
plowed, is below the minimum standards as required by the
Federal Aviation Administration. Airport boundary and
.threshold lights are turned off when snow conditions
.obscure the lights. Beacon turned off at this'time, too.
...Lights, beacon and,threshold lights are off usually from
November 15 to June 15.
All pilots planning flights during the winter months are
urged to call the McCall Airport (20B-634-5445) for the
latest airport conditions and weather.
