CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.2014-01
RECOGNIZING JUDY MALLETT FOR HER DEDICATED SERVICE TO
THE CITY OF MEDINA
WHEREAS, Judy Mallett has completed two years of dedicated service to the City of
Medina as the Lake Minnetonka Cable Commission (LMCC) Commissioner; and
WHEREAS, Mallett was the lead negotiator for the Cable Franchise Agreement with
Mediacom; and
WHEREAS, throughout LMCC Commissioner Mallett's service to the City of Medina
several significant developments have taken place including:
The City of Medina successfully leaving the LMCC Joint Powers agreement to
enter into a separate cable franchise agreement with Mediacom;
The completion of a buildout map for future broadband infrastructure in Medina;
The successful drafting and negotiation of a favorable cable franchise agreement
with Mediacom; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Mallett provided skilled leadership and guidance on
broadband matters to the City; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Medina
acknowledges and thanks Commissioner Mallett for her dedicated service to the community.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Martin
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
