FOR PAYMENT THEREFOR.

The City Council of the City of Lynwood doee hereby
resolve as followa:
4VHEREA$, the�public intereat,necessity and convenience
requires that certain services, hereinafter envmerated, be
performed for and on behalf of the City of Lynwood, and
V'dH�REAS, in the opinion of the City Council of eaid
City the LEAGUE OF CALIFO�NIA 3itJNICIPALITIE5, A Corporation,
is beat qualified to perform such services, I
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT IiEREBY RESOLVED:
That the services of said L�AGiT��OF�CALIFORNIA �UNI—
CIPALITIE3, a corporation, besecured fcs the performance of
� the following services for and on behalf oS said Gity:
.(1) The compilation of d�;ta, and the prepaxation of
material, for presentation to the President of the United
States and the Congresa of the United States, in support of
an application of said City for a public worlcs program in—
stead of a direct relief program which, in the opinion of
said City Council, is neceseary in dealing with the serioua
unemployment problem in this City, and that the amount made
available for materiala in such a program for projecta in
said city be suPficient to permit economically sound and
socially desirable projects to be undertaken,
(2) The preparation of a further study of State Gaeo-
• line Tax Allocation to said City, and the compilation of mat—
erial for presentation to the Lebis�ature of the 9tate of
Oalifornia in support of a program for an allocation of a
greater percentage of Gas Tax �nds to the City to be used
for the construction, reconstruction and maintenance of

City Streete without any restrictions or limit�tions on
the use thereof, other than the �eneral use heretofore
specif ied.
(3) The maintenanee of a Legislative Bureau at
the State Capitol during the 1935 sessiona of said Legislature
for the pr�paration and forwarding of periodical bulletins and
reports to said City on the statue of legislation effecting
said City,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED;
That the payment of the surn of Sixty (�60.00) Dollars
to said LEAGUE OF CALIFORFIIA tdUNlCIPALITIE3, a corporation,
as compensation for such servicee, for the fiscal year
comi�nencing July lst, 1934, be and the same is hereby
authorized. ,
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution and from thenceforth the same shall be
- in full force and effect.�
