AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
FOR LEGAL SERVICES WITH DECOTHS FITZPATRICK
COLE & WISLER —SPECIAL TAX APPEAL LITIGATION
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized legal services in
connection with special tax appeals within the Borough; and
WHEREAS, DeCotiis Fitzpatrick Cole & Wisler, Glenpointe Centre West, 500
Frank W. Burr Blvd., Teaneck, NJ. 07666, possesses the requisite experience and
expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, DeCotiis Fitzpatrick Cole & Wisler, has submitted a proposal to
provide said services at a total cost not to exceed $66,073.00; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer certifies that fiords are or will be
available for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. That the proposal of DeCotiis Fitzpatrick Cole & Wisler for
the specialized legal services related to specialized tax
appeal litigation within the Borough, in the total amount
not to exceed $66,073.00 is hereby approved;
2. That the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to make
payment for same herewith in accordance with this
Resolution;
3. That annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal;
4. This action is approved as an award of a professional
services contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11- 5(l)(a) I
accordance with the Borough's Fair and Open Process as
authorized by law.
