AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
FOR LEGAL SERVICES WITH WINDELS MARX LANE
& MITTENDORF, LLP —
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized legal services in
connection with various legal matters within the Borough; and
WHEREAS, Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf, LLP, 120 Albany Street Plaza G"
Floor, New Brunswick, New Jersey 08901, possesses the requisite experience and
expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf, LLP has submitted a proposal to
provide said services at a total cost not to exceed $7,500.00; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer certifies that funds are or will be
available for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. That the proposal of Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf,
LLP, for the specialized legal services related to various
- legal matters within the Borough, in the total amount not to
exceed $7,500.00 is hereby approved;
2. That the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to make
payment for same herewith in accordance with this
Resolution;
3. That annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal;
4. This action is approved as an award of a professional
services contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11- 5(l)(a) I
accordance with the Borough's Fair and Open Process as
authorized by law.
Adopted this 20'" day of December, 2007
and certified as a true copy of the
original on December 21, 2007.
