HomeMy Public PortalAbout2014-028 Resolution Revising Municipal State Aid StreetsMember Martin introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.2014-28 RESOLUTION REVISING MUNICIPAL STATE AID STREETS WHEREAS, the city of Medina (the "City") is a municipal corporation, organized and existing under the laws of Minnesota; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Medina (the "Council") has designated certain streets within the City as Municipal State Aid ("MSA") Streets under the provisions of Minnesota law; and WHEREAS, pursuant to MSA standards, the Council has determined that it is appropriate to revoke some segments and to designate other segements as MSA Streets. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MEDINA, MINNESOTA, that the MSA designation of the roadways described below is revoked, subject to the approval of the Commissioner of Transportation of the State of Minnesota: Street Name Termini Tomahawk Trail Hamel Road (CSAH 115) to Pioneer Trail Chippewa Road Medina Street (CR 19) to Pioneer Trail Future Road Medina Street (CR 19) to Pioneer Trail BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the roadways described below are established and designated as Municipal State Aid Streets of the City of Medina, subject to the approval of the Commissioner of Transportation of the State of Minnesota: Street Name Termini Hamel Road (extension) Tower Drive to Brockton Lane Brockton Lane Medina Road to Hamel Road Medina Road Hunter Drive to Brockton Lane Hunter Drive Medina Road to Hamel Road Mohawk Drive TH 55 to Chippewa Road Clydesdale Trail Pinto Drive (CR 116) to CSAH 101 Unnamed Street TH 55 to Clydesdale Trail Resolution No. 2014-28 April 15, 2014 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Administrator -Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to forward two certified copies of this resolution to the Commissioner of Transportation for consideration, and that upon the Commissioner's approval of the designation of each street or portion thereof, each shall be constructed, improved, and maintained as a Municipal State Aid Street of the City of Medina.
