HomeMy Public PortalAbout2014-032 Resolution Calling for Public Hearing on Tower Dr, Hamel Rd & Kilkenny LaneMember Martin introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.2014-32 RESOLUTION CALLING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON THE TOWER DRIVE, HAMEL ROAD, AND KILKENNY LANE STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, on September .17, 2013, the city council of the city of Medina (the "City Council") accepted a feasibility report related to the Tower Drive, Hamel Road, and Kilkenny Lane street and utility improvement project; and WHEREAS, in accepting the feasibility report, the City Council determined that the improvement project is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; and WHEREAS, the City Council also directed the city engineer to conduct additional survey and geotechnical work to further define the project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the city council of the city of Medina, as follows: 1. The City Council shall consider the making of such improvements in accordance with the feasibility report and as further defined through additional survey and geotechnical work pursuant to Minn. Stat., Chapter 429. The estimated total cost of the project is $2,203,798.50 2. Public hearing to consider the making of such improvement shall be held at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as permitted in the council chambers at Medina city hall on June 17, 2014. 3. City staff is directed to prepare the appropriate notices for the improvement hearings and to cause the proper notice for the public hearing to be published and mailed to owners in proposed area to be assessed as required by law and in accordance with the above schedule.
