t�1HERL'AS, the City Council of the City oi' Zynwood has hersto-
fore passed and adopted Resolution o� Intention l�o. 585, de-.
claring its intention to form a lighting district in and for the
City of Lynwood and to provide funds to pay for tne I:taintenance of
Street I,ights in said City for a period of t�vo years as appears in
said Resolution of Intention; and
WFiERFAS, a report was filed by ths Engineer of the City of
Zymvood, as called for in said Resolution of Intention, on the
18th day of December, 1929, the proceedings for said contemplated
work being taken under an act of the iegislature of the State o£
California entitled "An act to provide for the aequisition, in-
stallation, cor..struction, reconstruction, extension, repair and
maintenarice by municipalitiss of watsrworks, electric power works,
gas works, lighting works, and other public works and utilities;
for the assess�nent oP the cost atid expense thereof upon tho pro-
perts benefited and for the issuance of ir.?provemsnt bonds to
represent such assessmsnt, and to repsal an act entitled "An act
to provide Por the lighting of public strsets, lanss, allsys,
courts, and places in municipa,lities, and for the assessment of
the costs and expenses thereof upori the property benefited there-
by", approved P�ia.rch 21, 1905", approved June 6, 191'3, Statutes
1913, Page 421, and amencllnonts thoreto, and
�NHER�A_S, Section 13 of said Act requirsd that a11 moneys
collected for said improvement shall be paid to the Treasurer of
said City, to be plaoed in a special fund designated by the name
of the improvement, and also provides for the transfer of moneys
from the general fund to said epecial fund for tho purpose of
expediting the making oP s�.id improvement;
TuOIY THE3EF'O�E, BE IT EESOZVED that a special t'und to be
known and designated as the City of Zynwood I,ighting iyiaintenance
Fund, shall be and is hereby created for the purpose specified
and provided for in said Act, and all iunds collected by the
offieer dosignated as the Tax Collector in said Act, undsr these
proceedings, shail be paid by said Tax Collector, as fast as
collected, to the Treasurer o�' the CitJ of Zynvaood, who shall
place tF1e sarne in said I,yn�vood iightiug P�aintenance Fund, and-
payment shall be made out of said special fund only for tne pur-
poses provided �'or in said act.
IT IS FU�TH�R R.ESOLVED that the public interest and neeessity
require that Five Hundred Dollars l` shall be transfered
fr.om the general fund of said City to thc� said Lynwood Zighting
I:iaintenance F`und, and shall be deemed a loan to said fund for the
purpose of expediting the making of said improvement, and. shall
be repaid out of the proceeds of the assessment levied or to be
levied for said �vork of improvernent.
