Harvel Utility Construction has been performing utility service, including water
meter reading, emergency repairs and the installation of new infrastructure for the
Town of Gulf Stream for many years and has an extensive knowledge of the
Towns utility system. This means we can do the Town's utility work quicker, with
fewer problems and less impact on the residents. We have made every effort to
keep costs down and quality high. We have in place a communication system of
radios, pagers and cell phones that makes it possible to respond to your needs
usually within one hour, twenty four hours a day seven days a week. Because
H.U.C. owns its own maintenance equipment we are able to provide this service
quickly and on an hourly basis. In our local storage yard we stock most of the
repair parts and equipment including a Backhoe Loader, small pumps, etc. to
perform maintenance around the clock on all of the towns piping except for the
canal crossing. H.U.C. has bad a good relationship with the Town and it's
residents for many years and has made every effort to reduce the impact of utility
maintenance on the residents.
Following rates are for utility maintenance and construction for the Town of Gulf
Stream. The rates reflect a 3%+ or - decrease over our existing rates which went
into effect on October 1,2001. These rates will be in effect for two years and
include the following two changes.
Change #1 - My labor cost will be included at no additional charge in the hourly
rate for items #1 and 2 when the scope of work requires my supervision.
Change #2 - My time at meetings to discuss future Town projects will be at no
charge.

Rate Change for Utility
Maintenance and Construction
The following rates are to perform repair, maintenance and new construction work
for the Town of Gulf Stream on a 24 hr. basis.
Charges for work performed during regular working hours defined as 8:00 A.M.
to 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday will be in accordance with the following
schedule. Overtime and Town recognized holidays will be at time and one half for
items # 1,2,3 and 8.

Any equipment required other than above will be charged at the prevailing rental
rate plus 30% for such equipment.
Material required will be obtained by us and charged at cost plus 30%.
For work requiring use of equipment, rental will be for working time plus travel.
