RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF.LYi�i'�IOOD
AUTHORIZING T'rIE EXPENDITIIRE OP FUTdDS FOR THE DRILLING

_. VVHEREAS the water supply of the City of ,Lynwood_.
is obtained from four wells and one of the same� to-wit,
the well at pumping,plant No. 2 has become unusable from
accumulation of' sand and surface water, and,
4VHEHEA5 the inability to use said well is a
public calamity and would endanger the public safety
in the event�of fire:
NONJ, TAEREFORE, the City Council of.the City
of Lynwood do hereby resoTve;
THAT public interest and necessity demand the
inunediate expenditure o£ public money to safeguard life,
health and property and�V. E. Proctor, of Long Beach,
Caliiornie, is hereb.y authorized to drill a sixtaen inch
r�ater well of No..lO gauge hard red casir_g at Pumping ,
Plant No. 2 under the direction and control of the Water
Superintendent and the Commissioner of Public IItilities
for a reasonable.compensation, but no� to.exceed �861.68,
