CALL TO ORDER

The Council Work Session of June 2, 2003, was convened at 5:45 p.m. by Mayor John
Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Angle, Berry, Ferguson, Klindt, Smith, Viessman, Vogel, and Weber
Absent: Groner* and Olsen*
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
The following categories had items brought up for discussion:
PENDING BILLS
*Councilmen Groner and Olsen arrived at 5:55 during discussion of Pending Bills.
2003 -12
Councilman Clyde Angle stated he will be tabling RS2003 -12 and submit a substitute
resolution for the June 16 Council meeting.
BIDS OVER $25,000
Councilman Richard Groner stated he wanted to go back to "Bids Over $25,000" at this
point, and distributed an amendment to the bid which would change the purchase to one
fire tanker truck instead of two, and require that the City amend mutual aid agreements to
use rural fire district water hauling trucks. After briefly viewing the handout, Mayor John
Landwehr stated he did not believe the last two paragraphs could be accomplished legally
by making such an amendment. Councilman Richard Groner stated that would be fine to
delete those two paragraphs. Questions were asked of Finance Director Steve Schlueter
about making amendments at this point would affect the bidding process.
There were no official actions taken as this was a Work Session only.
