THE SPECIAL IIQUNICIPAL ELECTIU�V H�D IN SAID CITY
OF LYNWOOD, AUGUST 9TH, 1930.

Be it reeolved by the City Council of the City of Lynwood
ea follo�vs:
riHEREAS, a�pecial uuunicinal election was held and conducted
in trie City of Zynrvood, on oaturday; the 9th day of buguat, 193O, for
the purpose oY determining whether Alfred �. Skelton and 3ackson lweedy
should be recalled from the office of uouncilmen of the Gity of L',�nwood
and to elect successors in case they be recalled from office,
AIdD �NHEREAS, it appears that notice oY said election was
duly and legally given, that voting precinets were properly established,
and that in all respects eaid election was held and conducted and
the votea-cast thereat received and canvassed, and the returns there-
oY made and declared in time, form and manner as required by the
general laws �f' the state governing elections in cities of the fif'th
and sixth class,
AND WHEREAS, the City uouncii oY said C;ity of Lynwood met
at the Council "uhamber oi the Cotmcil on nuonday, the lltn day oY
August, 19�0, to canvass the returns oY said election and install
the newly elected ofticers that the number of votes cast, tne pro-
position voted on, the names of the persons voted Yor, and other
matters reo,uired by law, to be as riereinafter etated, now theref'ore

'1'hat said special municipal election avas held and conducted
in the City of iyn�vood, on �aturday, the 9th day of august, 193U, in
time, Yorm and manner as required by laev;
i'hat there were six (6) voting precinets establiahed for
the purpose of holding said electi�n, consisting of' a consolidation .

And it having been found and determined thet the total number
of votes cast in said Consolidated voting precincts on the proposition
"Sha11 �ackson `i�weedy be recalled fron tne office of ineraber of the i;ity
Council of the City of iyncvood, uali.fornie:" wae 1241 votes. `i'hst there
were 620 votes cast in 3avor �Y said recall, and 621 votes cast against
said recall.
- �i�herefore in accordance therewith, the City uouncil of the
City of Lyn�vood do hereby declare that the total number of votes cast
in favor of said recall are insut'ficient to recalT said Jackson Tweedy

And it having been fbund and determined that trie total number
of votes cast in eaid uonsolidated voti.ng precinct� on the proposition
"Shall dlfred E. Skelt�n be recalled from the office of inember of the

That there were 62d votes cast in favor of said recall, and 551 votes
cast against eaid recall.

City C�uncil to.fill the vacancy created by the recell of AlYred
I;. Skelton.
The Clerk shall enter on the records of the City� Council
a statement of t}ie reeult of.the Special Election, ehov�ing the whole
number of votes caet in said Speciol Election; the propositions
voted upon and the number of votee caet for and ag•ainet each of such
propo:itions; the names of the poreons voted fior, the office vrhich
each per:on was voted Sor, and the number of votes ginen to each of
such per�ons.
The Clerk shall immediately make and deliver to each of
euch pere:ons elected a certificate of election, �igned by him and
duly authenticated; he shall aleo impoee the constitutional oath �f
office and heve same eubscribed to, whereupon the5� shall be inducted
into the respective �ffices to which they have been elected.
