A RESOLUTIOIJ OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THL CITY OF
ZYN�"JOOD, C�LIFORI�IA, CALZIPdG A SP�CIAZ IVNNICIPAL

• WHLREAS: petitions in accordance with law have been
filed demanding the eletion oP successors to Forrest
Snodgrass, Jackson Trveedy and Zars �nderson as membere of
the City Council of the City of Lynwood;

the City of Lyn�vood, as folloc�s:
Section l. That a Special T�4unicipal Election be and
the s�me is hereb;� called in said City on Thursday, the 9th
. day of 9pri1, 1931, in accordance with the laws of the State
of Cali£ornia, to determine ruhether the voters will recall
Forrest Snod.grass, Jackson Tv�eedy and Lars Anderson as
members of the City Council of the City of Lyncrood, and to
elect successors thereof in case they shall be recalled,
Section 2. That £or the purpose o£ holding said special
IvIunicipal �lection there shall be five (5) voting precincts,
consisting of the £olloti�ing Lynr✓ood City Precincts as last
established by th,e Board of Supervisors of the County o£ Los.
' Angeles for State and Courity Election purposea and the polling
places and officers appointed to conduct said Special Il4unicipal
�lection shall be as hereinafter designated for each precinct:

Section 3. That the polls for said election shall be
open from 6:00 A. D+T. to 7:00 P, Pd.
Section 4. That the compensation for each o£ said election

INSTRUCTIONS TO VOT�RS: To vote on any question or propo- .
sition stamp a cross �X) in the voting square after the word
"Yes" or after the word "No". To vote £or the candidate of
• your selection, stamp a cross (X) in the voting square next to
the right of the name of such eandidate. Plhere tvco or more '
candidates £or tne same office are to be elected, stamp a cross
(X) a£ter the name of all candidates for that o£fice for v�hom
you desire to vote, not to exceed, ho�vever, the number of
candidates who are to be elected. To vote for a person not
on the ba.11ot, �vrite the n�me of such person under the title
of the office in the blank space le£t for that purpose.

tinguishing ma.rks or erasures are forbidden and ma,ke the ballot
void. If you wrong�illy stamp, tear or defaee this ballot,
return it to the inspector of election and obtain another.
Ido vote shall be counted for any candidate to succeed an
officer sought to be recalled from office unless the voter
also votes on the ouestion of the recall of the person sought
to be recalled from office..

The reasona set forth in the petitions for the recall of
said Forrest Snodgrass are as follows:
°That the said member has favored unjust and
unfair assessments in the City o£ Zyn�ood to the ex-
tent that taxes and assessments in said city have be-
come very burdensome to the people.
That in general the said Forrest Snodgrass has
not conducted himself as such member of said Board
of Trustees for the best interests of the City of
Zynwood and has been unfaithful to his truat",
The reasons set forth in the petitions £or the recall of
said Jackson Tweedy are as follows:
"That the said member has favored unjust and
unfair assossments in the City of Lynwood to the ex-
tent that taxes and assessments in said city have
become very burdensome to the people.
That in general the said Jackson Tweedy has
not conducted himself as such member of said Board
of Trustees for the best interests of the Citg o£
Lynwood and has been unfaithful to his trust".
The reasons set £orth in the petitions for the recall of
said Lars Anderson are as £ollows:
.. "That the said member has favored unjust and
un£air assessments in the City o£ Zynwood to the ex-
tent that taxes and.assessments in said city have be-
. come very burdensome to the people.
That in general the said Lars Anderson has not
conducted himsel� as such member o£ said Board of
Trusteea for the best interests of the City of Zynwood
and has been unfaithflil to his trust",
: In the event that said Forrest Snodgrass, Jackson Tweedy
and Lars 9nderson shall desire to justify their conduct in
said office and shall deliver to the C ity Clerk of said City
their�statement of justification in writing, consisting of
: not more than two,hundred words, before the ballots for said
election are ready to be printed, as provided by law, such �
statement shall also be printed on said ballots,
Section 6. That egcept as herein provided, said Special
��nicipal �lection shall be held and conducted in the manner
provided for general municipal elections in said �ity.
� Section 7. That the City Clerk be and he is hereby
directed to publish a notice o£ said election as required by
law.
