Be it resolved by the City Council of the City o£ Lynwood
as follows:-
L'1H�F.EAS: a Special hlunicipal Election �aas held and con- -
ducted in the City o£ Lynwood, on Thursday, the 9th day of
April, 1931, for the purpose of determining �vhether Forrest
Snodgrass, Jackson Tweedy and Zars Anderson should be recalled
from the office of inembers of the City Council of the City of
Lynwood and to elect successors in case the;� be recalled £rom
o£fice,
AND �lHEREAS: it appears that notice of said election was
duly and legally given, that voting precincts were properly
esteblished, that election officers were appointed and election
supplies furnished, and that in all respects said election �ras
duly and legally given, that voting precinets were properly
established, that election officers were appointed and election
supplies furnished, and that in all respects said election was
held and conducted and the votes.cast,thereat received and can-
vassed, and the returns thereof, made and declared in time,
form and manner as required by the �reneral Zaws of the State
governing elections im cities of the fi£th and sixth class.
AND WHERE95: the City C ouncil o£ said City of Zynwood met
at the Council Chamber of the Council on Tdonday, the 13th day
of April, 1931, to canvass the returns of said election and
install the newly elected officers that the number of votes
. case, the proposition voted on, the names of the persons voted •
for, and other matters required by law, to be as hereinafter
stated, now therefore, '

That srzid special municipal election �vas held and conducted'
in the City of Zynwood, on Thursday, the 9th day of April, 1931,
in time, form and manner as required by law;
That there were five (5) voting precincts established for
the purpose of holding said election, consisting o£ a consolidation
of the regular election pr�cincts established for holding general
state and county elections as fbllov�s:-
Consolidated voting precinct 9, consisting o£ Lynwood
City Precinets 1, 4 and 5.
Consolidated voting precinct B, consisting of I,ynwood
City Precinets 2 and 3.
� Consolidated voting precinct C, consisting of Lynwood
City Precineta 6 and 9.
Consolidated voting precinct D, consisting of Zynwood
City Precincta 7 and S.
Consolidated voting precinct E, consisting of Lynwood
City Precincts 10 and 11.
That the whole number of votes cast in said City was 1589,
That the names of the persnns voted for and the propositions
-voted upon, the offices to £ill �vhich each person v�as voted for-,—
the number o£ votes given at each precinat to each of such persons

And it having been found and determined that the total numUer
of votes cast in said Consolidated voting precinets on the
proposition "Shall Forrest Snodgrass be recalled from the office
of inember of the City Oouncil of the City of L9nvrood, California?"
was 1514 votes.That there were 925 votes cast in favor of said
recall, and 589 votes cast against said recall,
Therefore, in acoordance therewith, the City Council of the
City of Zynwood do hereby declare the seat of the above ns.med
Forreat Snodgrass vacant,
And it having been found and determined that the total
number of votes cast in said consolidated voting precincts for
candidates to aucceed Forrest Snodgrass in case he be recalled,_
was 1343 votes. That of the aforesaid number of votes cast Fred
J. Davies received 669 votes, Addie S. Kimble received 351 votes,
____and Frank_B. Roberts received 323 votes, :_ . __._
Tlierefore, it is hereby declared that Fred J. Davies having
received the greatest number oP,votes cast £or candidates to
succeed Forrest Snodgrass in ca�e that said Forrest Snodgrass
be recalled from the office of inember of the City Council of
"the City of Lynwood, California, he is duly elected as a member
of the.City Council to £ill the vacancy created by the recsall
of E'orrest Snodgrass.
And it having been found and determined that the total
number of votes cast in said Consolidated voting precincts on
the proposition "Shall Jackson Tweedy be recalled from the office .
of inember of the City Council of the City of Lyn�vood, California?"
was 1442 votes. That there were 1067 votes cast in favor of
said recall, and 375 votes cast againstsaid recall,
Therefore, in accordance there�aith, the City Council of
the City of Lynwood do hereby declare the seat of the above
named Jackson Tweedy vacant,
And it having been £ound and determined that the total .
number of votes cast in said consolidated voting precincts for
i candidates to succeed Jackson T�.�reedy in case he be recalled, was
1338 votes. That of the aforesaid number of votes cast John
Feely received 31 votes, Rudolph C, Headley received 238 votes,
Lucian S. Pratt received 80 votes, Cecil E, Snyder received
644 votes, and John Strain received 345 votes.
Therefore, it is hereby declared that Cecil E. Snyder ;
having received the greatest number o£ votes cast for candidates
to succeed Jackson Tweedy in case that said Jackson Tweedy be
recalled from the office of inember of the Citg Council of the
City of Lynwood, Californis, he is d,uly elected as a momber of
the City Council to £ill the vacancy created by the reeall o£
�ackson Tweedy.

And it having been found and determined that the total
number of votes cast in said consol'idated voting.precincts on
the proposition "Shall I�ars Anderson be recalled from the
office o£ member of the City Council of the City of Lyn�ood,
, California?" �vas 1484 votes. That there v�ere 1076 votes
cast in favor of said recall, and 408 votes cast against said
recall.
Therefore, in accordance therewith, the City Council of
the City of Zyn�ood do hereby declare the seat of the above
�-- named Lars Anderson vacant. ,
And it having been fou.nd and determined that the total
number'of votes cast in said consolidated voting precincts for
candidates to succeed Zars Anderson in case he be recalled,
was 1346 votes, That of the a£oresaid number of votes cast
J, iY. Denny received 239 votes, Frank M. Downey received 377
votes, and J. H. Grayson received 730 votes.
There£ore, it is hereby deelared that J. H. Grayson
having receivod the greatest number of votes cast fox candidates
to succeed Lars Anderson in case that said Lars g nderson be
recalled from the office of inember of the City Council o£ the
City of Lyn�vood, Cali£ornia, he is duly elected�es a member
of the City Council to fill the vacancy croated by the recall
of Zars 9nderson,
The Clerk shall enter on the records of the City Cmuncil
a ste.tement oP tiie result of the Special election, shoc�ing the __
whole number of votes cast in said Special Election; the
propositions voted upon and the number of votes cast for and
. against euch propositions; the names of the persons voted for,
the o£fices which each person was voted for, and the number o£
votes given to each of such person. .
The Clerk shall immediately make and deliver to each of
such persons elected a certiYicate of election, signed by
him and dulq suthenticated; he shall also impose the
conatitutional oath of of£ice and have sar::o subecribed to, "
whereupon they shall be inducted into the respective o£fices to
which they have been elected.

of Zynwood, California, do hereby certify that the above and
foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council o£
eaid City at an adjourned regular meeting thereof held in the
City Hall �f said City on the 13th day of April, 1931, and
passed by the following vote:
