�PHEREAS: it has come to the attention of the City
Council of the City of Zynwood, by evidenee offered in that
behalf, that on ce�tain Zots of land in said City there ex-
iats dry and drying weeds which dry and d grass on such
Lots caused great damages to houses and structures in said
Zynwood from �ire and constitutes public nuisances, and that
such public nuisances should at once be abated under the pro-.
visions of Aet.5Z97 of the Legislature of the State of Cali-
fornia, as said act is amended, which said act is entitled: ,
"An Act authorizing Municipalities'to declare nogious or
� dan�erous weeds growing upon the streets or sideavalks, or upon
� private property within iJlunicipalities, to be a public nuis-
ance, creating a lien upon the property £ronting upon such

°� -° "-° =='streets or sidewalks°or such"nuis`�.nce exists for the �
cost of abating the same", which act was approved Pday 26, 1915.
AND GYHEREAS: the I,ots o£ land upon whieh such pub-
lic nuisances e�ist are described as follows:- ``
NO1V, TF3EE2�FORE, it is hereby resolved and declared by the
'. City Counci7. of tho City of Zynwood, that the existence o£
dry and drying weeds on each o£ said Lots to be public nuisances,
and it is hereby ordered that such nuisances be abated under
the terms of that certain Act of the Legislature of the State
of California kno�vn as Act No. 5187, as amended, and the Street
Superintendent of the City of Zynwood is directed to cause
notices to be given and posted �hich are neeessary to be given
and posted as required by said Act, and this �ouncil hereby
fixes the 12th day of Ms,y, 1931, at 8 o'clock P..M,, and the
Cou.ncil Chamber of the Council of said City at 11331 Plaza Street,
in said Lynwood, as'the time and place of hearing all protests
