The council met in special session on April 30th, with Mayor Eckhoff presiding and all council members present. Purpose of the meeting was for the 2d reading of the resolution for the exchange of certain property by the Town of Wellsburg and Helen Riekena. It was moved by Van Deest, 2d by Huisman, to waive the 2d and 3d readings of the resolution. Carried. Moved by Fairbanks, 2d by Heinrich, to adopt resolution for the transfer of certain property under Ordinance #1003. Clerk Mayor The Wellsburg Town Council met in r ular session on June 4 with Mayor Eckhoff presiding and all council members present. Minutes of the previous meeting were approved on a motion by Van Deest, seconded by Hippen. Carried. The treasurer's report was accepted as read on a motion by Huis- man, seconded by Heinrich. Carried. Fairbanks seconded a motion made by Hippen to employ Rick Penning at a salary of $550 for the month of June and $600 per month beginning July 1. Carried. Mayor Eckhoff administered the oath to Rick Penning.
