The council met in special session on April 30th, with Mayor Eckhoff presiding and all council members present. Purpose of the meeting was for the 2d reading of the resolution for the exchange of certain property by the Town of Wellsburg and Helen Riekena. It was moved by Van Deest, 2d by Huisman, to waive the 2d and 3d readings of the resolution. Carried. Moved by Fairbanks, 2d by Heinrich, to adopt resolution for the transfer of certain property under Ordinance #1003. Roll call of votes-- Ayes-Huisman, Hippen, Heinrich, Fairbanks, Van Deest Nays -None Absent -None Carried The meeting stood adjourned. Az yor The Wellsburg Town 1973, with Councilmen present. Council met in regular session on May 7, Heinrich, Huisman, Van Deest and Fairbanks The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved on a motion by Van Deest, seconded by Huisman. Carried. Co. for labor and materials for remodeling City Hall. Roll call of votes -- Ayes -Heinrich, Huisman, Van Deest, Fairbanks Nays -None Absent-Hippen. Motion Carried. The treasurer's report was accepted as read on a motion by Van Deest, seconded by Huisman. Carried. See 3d Set B Fairbanks moved and Van Deest seconded adjournment. Carried. Clerk Mayor The Wellsburg Town Council met in r ular session on June 4 with Mayor Eckhoff presiding and all council members present. Minutes of the previous meeting were approved on a motion by Van Deest, seconded by Hippen. Carried. The treasurer's report was accepted as read on a motion by Huis- man, seconded by Heinrich. Carried. Fairbanks moved, Hippen seconded allowance for payment of the following bills: Paul J. Siefken, net salary $447.08 Alfred Krull, net salary 436.32 Henry J. Grobe, net salary 78.51 Paul J. Carried. Fairbanks seconded a motion made by Hippen to employ Rick Penning at a salary of $550 for the month of June and $600 per month beginning July 1. Carried. Mayor Eckhoff administered the oath to Rick Penning.
