May 8 1945
Special meeting of the Council, called by the Mayor.
Mayor Vahlsing presiding and all councilmen present,.
The purpose of the meeting was for the purpose of inspecting
all streets and alleys in the Town of Wellsburg, and that the
entire council make the inspection and decide what should be
done about them, before the summer oiling.
The council made the inspection, and decisions,and gave
the Marshall instructions to hire the work done, as recoomended
by the Street and Alley committee, under their supervision.
There being no other business it was moved to adjourn.

REGULAR MEETING.
Mayor Vahlsing presiding and all councilmen present.;
Minutes of the meetings in May were read and on motimn
by Kruse second by Haack be approved as read- motion carrid.
A report received from the State Dept.of Health regarding
a recent inspection of the Towns Water wvvks system, and Sewer
Disposal Plant, was read by the Clerk, Its recommendations
were made record of, and the Marshall was directed to use his a
best efforts to make corrections where recommended.
Articles of Incorporation of the "Wel"sburg Bend" were
presented to the Council for their approval.
On Motion by Kruse second by Haack the above Articles
be, wimae approved - Motion carried.
Dr Emmans Health Physiciah reported to the Council that
the Drain outlet of Mrs Geske Heikens Cess Pool on School
grounds to be a Menace to the Public Health.
It was moved by Okones second by Geerdes that the Clerk
.notify Mrs Geske Heikens to remove the above menace. Carried.
A resolution from the Iowa State Telephone Co. being a
resolution releasing the Telephone Company from all ftq;
RESOLUTION FOR OILING STREETS. 1945.
Be it resolved by the council of the Town of Wellsburg, Iowa
that -;-
Washing ton street- from 4th to a point 400 ft north of
R R intersection -
Adams St- from 4th at to R R intersection
Madison at-. from 4th street to 2nd street
Jefferson at- from 4th st to lst street;
Monroe Street- from 4th street to a paint lee ftt north
of intersection of lst street;
Adams St, College Hill park- from 4th to McAdoo ave.

4th street, from West �jorporation line to a poinj east on said
street 800 ftte east of intersection of Lincoln treet. b
All of Lincolas Street- Jackson treet- 5th Street and 6th treet,

and the same is hereby ordered oiled, and the entire cost
thereof except the cost of Oiling intersections, shall be assessed
to the property abutting on such streets in proportion to the
benefits conferred thereby.
