CALL TO ORDER

The Council "Pre- Meeting" Work Session of September 15, 2003, was convened at 5:45
p.m. by Mayor John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Angle, Berry, Ferguson, Groner, Klindt, Olsen, and Vogel
Absent: *Gordon, Viessman, and Weber
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
The following categories had items brought up for discussion:
APPOINTMENTS
Mayor John Landwehr stated that he has asked some citizens to consider serving on an ad
hoc east end economic development committee, and will announce that in the following
meeting. He asked the Council to think about the suggested appointees and give him their
input before he makes the recommended appointments at the October 6 Council Meeting.
*Councilman Darren Gordon arrived at this point in the meeting (5:50 PM).
BILLS INTRODUCED
2003 -99: Councilman Cliff Olsen said he has a lot of questions that he does not feel he can
ask in the open meeting, so he will object to the suspension of the rules. Councilman
Richard Groner stated he will also object. City Administrator Rich Mays asked them to
reconsider because some people will be hired and he thought the positions should be in
place before the people are hired for the positions.
BILLS PENDING:
2003 -88: Mayor John Landwehr stated that Roger Randolph has asked that 2003 -88 be
placed on the Informal Calendar to allow the Pedestrian - Bicycle Task Force to discuss the
issue at their September 17 meeting. City Counselor Nathan Nickolaus stated that
Councilman Michael Berry has offered an amendment to the bill which he distributed to the
COUNCIL WORK SESSION SEPTEMBER 15, 2003 2
Council.
2003 -95: City Counselor Nathan Nickolaus distributed an amendment to 2003 -95 as
directed by the City Council's at the September 12 "Brown Bag" meeting.
The Work Session ended at 5:55 P.M.
