DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
The following categories had items brought up for discussion:
APPOINTMENTS
Mayor John Landwehr stated he wants to appoint an ad hoc committee of the whole to
address the clean air ordinance issue, and that if he cannot attend any of the sessions
himself, he would request that Councilman Angle, and the sponsor of the ordinance,
preside at the meeting for him. He announced he thinks that speakers lined up to speak on
the issue tonight may do so if they wish, but that public forums specifically for that purpose
will be scheduled in case they want to save their comments for those sessions, or save their
comments for when the ordinance is actually introduced.
*Councilman Clyde Angle arrived at this point in the meeting (5:50 P.M.)
Mayor John Landwehr asked Councilman Clyde Angle when he wants to schedule special
sessions regarding the clean air ordinance issue. Following a brief discussion on suitable
dates for these, the Council agreed that they would schedule the meetings in the Regular
Council Meeting as follows: Public forums at 12:00 noon and 5:30 PM on Monday, October
13; Council workshop on Wednesday, October 15, immediately following the 5:30 CVB
workshop. Councilman Clyde Angle agreed with Mayor Landwehr's previous suggestion
that if the Mayor cannot attend any of these sessions, that Councilman Angle, as the
sponsor of the ordinance, would preside at the session(s) in his absence.
