HomeMy Public PortalAbout2019.09.18 GAC Minutes Golf Course Advisory Committee Minutes for September 18, 2019 Roll Call: Todd McKenna, Kris Christensen, Kean Stearns, Rita Bolli, Kara Jeffus for new member Suzanne Gebhart from the Lady's Association, Allan Morrison, Eric McCormick Minutes were approved by Ken and seconded by Kris and approved as written from August 14, 2019.Eric's report: Staff in the golf course maintenance will be kept at present levels until Thanksgiving. Fall maintenance jobs are many: Some fungus spraying, work on the maintenance building,Verticut for Cedar greens,Aerivating and seeding of fairways, and tee aeration will be done in the next several weeks. Cedar 9 will be closed for a few days next week. David Druzisky submitted a bid for a Golf Course Master Plan which was reviewed. Issues of the tee boxes and walking bridges were discussed. Ken made a motion to accept the Master Plan and Kris seconded it and it passed with all present assenting. Members were asked to further read the info online for the next meeting. Cart paths on some of the Birch holes have been crack sealed and hopefully the rest will be done depending on the weather. Allan's report: Jazz on the Green was well attended and the last couple of tournaments went well even though the weather for the last one was rainy. The financial report was reviewed and we are down almost$6000 from last year. Monthly Topic: Review development of physical facilities , major alterations and permanent improvements to the golf course. See above and attached info for the Master Plan. Also Erick reviewed the list and dates of the five year plan and discussion/questions ensued and the plan was accepted as written. Old Business: The new sign for the course was discussed and Eric will check with the sign company for some possible changes and maybe reduction in price. The Men's and Lady's Associations plan to help out with the cost. The Conduit for security camera for driving range, Cedar, parking lot will hopefully be installed next spring. New Business: Master Plan for the course was discussed again. Price may be between $27 and 40,000.
